“Bad Blood” with Luke Wilson and the fat ginger from The Sandlot was a good one, I thought.
I like pretty much all the monster-oriented X-Files espisodes, and always enjoy the occasional one where they don’t take themselves too seriously and have some fun with it (a la Bad Blood).
The one with the fast food worker who also is a genetic freak who craves eating human brains, but hates himself for it.
It was great when he was telling the therapist off about what a waste of time the overeaters anonymous meeting was. “Those are a bunch of fat people who think they have problems”. LOL!!!

Bahahahha!
How about the one in the Florida everglades where Mulder and Scully track little invisible men with glowing red eyes.
Yeah that one was cool too. That was also the one where in the beginning they were stuck in the car with the 2 screwball agents trying to have a motivational meeting.
Here’s another angle. How bout all the actors that got their start or a boost from that show. Jack Black, Giovanni Ribisi, Jewel Staite, Veronica Cartwright, Adam Baldwin, Mimi Rogers, Darren Mcgavin and a bunch of others

I second “Bad Blood”, but my favorite episode was “Jose Chung’s from Outer Space.” Jesse “The Body” Ventura and Alex Trebek as men in black. Classic.
I also liked the one where the inside of the guys house was the house from the Brady Bunch.
I bought the boxed set (every single episode and the movie on DVD, an episode guide, and a nifty box to store it all in) from Amazon last January for $165.
Far and away the best impulse purchase I have ever made in my life. Bar none.
I love the Monster-of-the-Week episodes, so I’m really happy to hear that that’s what the movie is going for.

I got that beat! I bought every single episode ever made from the Iraqi locals that sell pirated movies for 25 dollars. The episodes are dvd quality. I’ve watched the first half of season one and have only had a problem in one episode with the disk locking up. Aside from that, all the other episodes look good.
Also, the box that the dvds come in says, “The X-File”.

Good call. I also like the circus freak episode mentioned earlier,“The Fiji Mermaid”.

Jack Black, Giovanni Ribisi,
In the same episode, no less. Quite a “shock” if you ask me.

A test? Yes that was the one where Ribisi’s character WAS lightning according to Mulder and he kept putting the cosmic ZAPP on people who pissed him off. Black was his best friend who in spite of that fact couldn’t ultimately escape his wrathful amperage.

Whew - you got it. That episode was pretty epic. Man I’m remembering how great that show was, the early stuff anyway. I’m going to have to buy some box sets.
Another kick-butt episode: The one where Mulder and Scully go undercover as newlyweds in the neighborhood with that giant dirt beast that kills people who don’t follow the residential code.
Natural Nate wrote:
You know when you actually write out the description of the episodes it just shows how bizarre they are.
Indeed. I didn’t see any of them until the shows original run was over. I watched all nine seasons in a few months. I remember seeing some of them the first time and thinking about how “out there” they were.
That one was cool too. They had the neighborhood association that was all flipped out over all their cockamamie rules and Mulder was out there playing basketball and putting his unacceptable mail box.
The one where they wind up on that time warped WWII ship was really weird too. How bout the one with the little girl and her homicidal doll. Chinga. “you put yer left foot in you put yer left foot out”
I did like the conspiracy thing though too, but you really had to follow who was double crossing who for a while there between Krychek, Covarubias and good ol CSM. Even Skinner was called into question.

I remembered this one yesterday.
The CSM was a German Commander. Skinner was a American spy under the Command of the CSM. Skully was some sexy broad who was a passenger on the ship.
It was also funny the lengths that Skully, in the present day, had to go to so she could get grid coordinates for the ships location. Wasn’t the ship the Queen Mary?
How about the one with the fluke-man that lived under the porta-potties and grabbed people by the ass with his nasty round teeth? I still cringe just thinking about that one. Satanic teacher was awesome too. That lady has played a normal person in a few shows I’ve seen and I can only think of her as the devil!

I bet your’s didn’t have the movie trailer poster included.
“Take Your Greatest Fear, and Multiply it by X!”
So there! That poster was definitely worth every nickel of the extra $140.
