The Never-Too-Late Tattoo Parlor

15 pullups really are very impressive. i can’t even do 1 :-/

rockstar pullups Nadia.

Cal: Thanks. The running is tough. It’s so good when it goes well, but it is so easy for things to go wrong. Still, it’s a great exercise. I don’t see myself giving it up voluntarily ever.

Kimba & Masch: I appreciate your confidence. If only I had it. I know I’m good for 20. But those last 5, why are they so damn hard? Still, somehow I got 23 last year, and I am better than that this year. So, I’m hopeful.

Dani: I do foam roll regularly, and it does help me a lot. I’m pretty confident the running is not the cause of my sciatica. I’ve run for years without hip issues. It’s something else. And even if running is to blame, I just love it too much to ever give it up. No, unless my husband takes me out back and hits me over the head with a shovel, someday, I’ll be out on the road hunched over, left leg dragging behind me, whole body spasming in an effort to move forward in some grotesque effort to run. Just look away. It won’t be pretty, but I’ll be happy.

Thanks alexus and frenchie.

Training

Yesterday, 5 mile run.

Today: squats and bench and rehab stuff.

I didn’t do any accessories outside of the rehab stuff, and I didn’t push my work sets hard either. I’m easing back in.

Squats: 105x3; 120x3; 135x6
Bench: 75x5; 85x3; 95x6

++++++++++++++++++++++++

Diet: BW 119 today. I cheated all weekend. AND I cheated (a little bit) yesterday. Fuck. Thou shall not eat bread. But, I’m still eating better (and less) than usual. Hitting 115 is going to be tough. I have 2 weeks left.

holy CRAP! You look amazing, really! That is exactly the body I am aiming for. Are you just cutting carbs/calories?

I love this quest for 25 pull ups. Like PW’s very own mini-saga.

Oh hell yes!! That midsection is looking HOT! You have just motivated me, mistress. Thank you!!

Koffea: Thanks for the information. How do you deactive your QL, hip flexor, and glute? THrough ART?
[/quote]

the only way i have found to really deactivate my QL is through ART. I havent really gotten relief from stretching, massage or chiropractic care when it comes to my QL. I would love to learn how to do it if there is another way though.

i can deactivate my glutes and hip flexer using a rumble roller or a baseball. Its a little uncomfortable when you find that spot thats over active, but worth it. For me, a regular foam roller just does not seem to apply enough pressure.

I think this is an area where as a former gymnast, flexibility is really working against me as I get older. dont really have anything to back that up, but it seems that other people can get relief through basic stretching. But those stretches dont even stretch me a little, and I just dont get relief from them.

awsome progress btw

HAHAHAH! Here, you can borrow an i, like Brute used to do with the !s. Here’s a capital too I.

Nice DLing, Nadia! My back would be smoked too!

Happy Birthday!! What’s a birthday without cake? That would be insanity! And congrats on keeping the diet tight. You are a far better woman than I.

Also congrats on the full sleep!! Well-deserved. A lot of the time I feel like I have a well of untapped energy within me, but even still. Its nice to sleep past 7am every once in a while, no?

Happy birthday! Sleeping through the night was an amazing present, but I hope you got other good stuff and had good times.

I’m also using way too much back in my sumo DLing and need to fix it. This frustration is almost about to send me to the conv. side.

Happy Belated…
Sounded awesome???

And your log now looks like you swear a lot, lol.

Happy Birthday!!!
