The Mythical

Alright well this is my first post in and all and I come in goodwill and yadayada. Anyways, I just finished watching boyz n the hood for the first time and despite the fact it had a typical “black” ending with the main character going off to college (in the 90’s???Right…) I still watched it with an open mind and enjoyed it. That is up until the point where lawrence fishburnes character starts going on about the mythical “they”. “They” are killing the black people. “They” are setting up liquor shops and gun shops in the ghetto. “They” want the black people to destroy themselves. Black people need to stop blaming the white man and start taking responsibility and get out of the violence and drugs they’ve thrown themselves in. By blaming some anonymous “they” the problem is just fuelled, and then they wonder why upper class whites look down on them.

Also, why the hell does the movie try to make it seem as if the army is racist? There were plenty of blacks in the army back in the 90’s.

Great points OP, I mean everyone was always so nice to black people. I mean white people brought them over and gave them jobs and even let them sit in the back of our buses. It’s also great that we continue to supply them with guns and liquor so they can have their fun little matches.

PS I ran out of gasoline so please remember to buy some for our next cross burning

well no one ever brings up these points, I don’t know if it’s gotta do with this pc bullshit going on on the forums so I thought i might as well bring em up myself, know what I’m sayin?

You’re just upset and jealous that tomorrow’s Black Friday.

The only even remotely good point he makes is that the “they” that typically set up liquor stores, bring in drugs and guns isn’t some white conspiracy, but street gangs. More often than not, the liquor stores on every corner in a “ghetto” aren’t even profitable business, but a way for gangs to launder drug money. In my area, the major city just passed a law (citing some of the issues accredited to the nebulous “they”) restricting the amount of liquor stores in a given radius. They did dress it up to present it to the public, but it was really done to aid law enforcement by restricting the number of places that drug, gun, and gang money can be run through. As for the rest, does the name Spike Lee mean nothing to the OP?

A black guy is gonna take your daughter’s black cherry. And she’s gonna love every minute of it.

STICK IT TO THE WHITE MAN!

And his daughter.

What I found weird was the idiot mate who decided to take a piss while those gangbangers were chasing them at the end with shotguns. As if!

“They” love my big black dick. I have no complaints about “Them”, unless “They” stop doing “That”

I am thankful for Snow Bunnies…True Story

No one brings them up because no one cares. This forum is far from PC, simply not engaging in controversial discussions does not automatically make a forum politically correct. Making the huge assumption that a forum to do with body building required such an input makes me question your purpose, I mean, the very proposition you made has no sense to it:

“The army had plenty blacks, therefore the army is not racist”, it’s as intelligent as saying “Post-slavery America had plenty of blacks, therefore America at the time was not racist”. Not only is the statement entirely subjective (what the fuck does “plenty” mean?) but it also doesn’t make sense.

Seriously, why here? There are plenty of other places that you can discuss this.

I am going to shamelessly quote Tool here. Their song “Hooker with a Penis” is dead accurate describing hypocritical countercultures blaming “the man”.

I met a boy wearing Vans, 501s, and a
Dope Beastie t, nipple rings, and
New tattoos that claimed that he
Was OGT,
From '92,
The first EP.

And in between
Sips of Coke
He told me that
He thought
We were sellin’ out,
Layin’ down,
Suckin’ up
To the man.

Well now I’ve got some
A-dvice for you, little buddy.
Before you point the finger
You should know that
I’m the man,

And if I’m the man,

Then you’re the man, and
He’s the man as well so you can
Point that fuckin’ finger up your ass.

All you know about me is what I’ve sold you,
Dumb fuck.
I sold out long before you ever heard my name.

I sold my soul to make a record,
Dip shit,
And you bought one.

So I’ve got some
Advice for you, little buddy.
Before you point your finger
You should know that
I’m the man,

If I’m the fuckin’ man
Then you’re the fuckin’ man as well
So you can
Point that fuckin’ finger up your ass.

All you know about me is what I’ve sold you,
Dumb fuck.
I sold out long before you ever heard my name.

I sold my soul to make a record,
Dip shit,
And you bought one.

All you read and
Wear or see and
Hear on TV
Is a product
Begging for your
Fatass dirty
Dollar

So…Shut up and

Buy my new record
Send more money
Fuck you, buddy.

Obvious troll is obvious.

Just another attempt by The Man to hold a brotha down…

I just thought Fishburn meant these guys.
PS: (They’re from his future)
PPS: (note: not a nee-gro among them!!! It’s a conspiracy)
