If you left it at you thought it was a crappy movie then I wouldnt have said anything. You labled it as “amateur hour” which was just asanine.
I love tons of movies people hate. Doesnt matter. If they can form an opinion that consists of more than “crappy movie” and “amateur hour” then I would take it as someone who actually put a little thought into what he or she saw.
Rented it this weekend with my girl and have watched it twice. I really enjoyed it, but thought it was kind of cheesy in spots. I’m still not sure how I feel about the ending.

I need to see the original though.
The original is 3 movies and too spaced out. The reason for the one film was better character development and to speed things up.[/quote]
Just watch the original, the first Infernal Affairs. Infernal Affairs 2 talks abt the history of how the cop and the gangster went undercover. Infernal Affairs 3 is set after Infernal Affairs 1 and the focus is on the “bad guy” (the role that Damon played).
I won’t elaborate on Infernal Affairs 3 so as not to spoil it, in case any of you decide to watch it. IMO, the first is still the best.

I agree that all the movies I’ve seen him in he’s been great. Though it’s even better seeing the slightly horrified looks on people’s faces when they mention one of the movies and you say “Yeah Marky Mark was awesome in that.”
I just saw it this past weekend, too. I thought it was great! Loved DiCaprio. First time I ever disliked Damon (so he did a good job). I was so sad when DiCaprio got shot at the end. I wonder if the baby was his or Damon’s?
A few times the accent got mangled, but for the most part they all did well (that’s how I talk, too )
i agree with slimjim for the most part. there were some really great scenes but ultimately the movie felt predictable and sophmoric. it started really strong too and hooked me right off but the realism from the beginning didn’t carry through and scorcese went with broad stroke sensationalism rather than his usual mode of allowing details to speak for themselves.
that was a real let down and for me is the difference between a movie i’ll purchase and watch repeatedly for years, and a movie i’ll channel surf when i’m napping on a saturday. also i hate to say it but nicholson’s character was embarassingly weak.

Damn Jilly, i havent seen it yet and that spoiler came out of nowhere Well, im sure it will still be great regardless if i know how it ends.
Everyone I’ve spoken to has said it was good. A friend brought me by a copy about a month ago and I haven’t warched it yet. Good plans for the weekend.
I didn’t like it that much. The Boston accents were inauthentic and Marky Mark’s character didn’t do him justice. I like the guy but that character just talked shit the entire time.

Isn’t Matt Damon from Boston? that would make his accent authentic, right?
