The frog dragon?
Yes. It’s very cute
I’ll see if he can order you one…lol
His digital rendering is excellent.

Guess he’s working on a massive oil painting for class.
That is very cool. I really like his style.
I was surprised when I saw this. Painting isn’t his normal medium he works with.
The “style” really jumps out. It’s cool that he used the “old school” oils and captured that classic D & D look and feel.
Actually he did it for one of his classes… hes actually going to redo it digitally he says.
Yeah. I think a lot of people with talent can jump media and it’s still very good, very quickly then they improve even more with time.
My brother was great with pencils, then jumped into clay, paint, chalk, you name it. Give him like 15 minutes to figure it out and he’ll make it really good.
Took him about 20 minutes to “get” stick welding before he goes “Yeah! Just like a sharpie!”. Then there’s me, 15 years later…
.
Damn good. I’ve got respect for anyone who can competently work with oils.

Tell him he’s grounded if he doesn’t add details to this oil version.
I was worried when he went to school how hw would deal with having to work in different mediums.. I guess it’s all good.
Be curious how get… I know hes a big fan of Alex Ross
Hes a little old for that now… yeah I don’t know if he will go back to it or not and add more detail since he was under the gun. I know hes got 20 or so things he has unfinished that would be bad ass if he completed.
I usually take requests from my students and knock out something in between helping others over the course of a couple of classes. Obviously you can imagine the suggestions the last week -lol

“Get over here!”
