Iron Dwarf: Keep Up the Good Work

Checked out a Muscle Mag this weekend and showed my girlfriend the “Muscle Bites” section. I told her, “You see this-I know the guy who drew that.” I feel like one of those guy you see in the gym that doesn’t do great lifts but knows a guy that does.

Haha.

Keep up the good work, Dwarf. It’s good shit.

So Iron Dwarf is a contributor for Muscle Mag?

Nice!

he draws art for them

Right. Therefore a contributor.

Very cool. Smart and talented.

Cool guy, too.

I want to see this issue now…

I know Stu is also an illustrator or at least teaches animation.

apparently, it was taken the wrong way.

Hey! Thanks for “drawing” attention to me Short Hoss! lol

But “contributor” sounds like I donated my artwork! LOL

I do get paid, though.
I draw the “Muscle Bites” section each month. I also did some 2-page spreads in 3 recent issues. Oh, and I also draw the spot art for the “Curves Quickies” section in Kennedy’s magazine “American Curves”.

← I also drew my avatar, which was part of a large 2-page spread which will appear in an issue of MuscleMag soon.

A few more samples if you please:

Wow!

So your avatar is one of YOUR works, then.

Your style is awesome.

Probably. I didn’t like the tone you took in my head. Just ignore me.

Bench shirt must be one size too small, huh?

I loved the Mitch Hedburg stuff you did.

There is no such thing as one size too small :stuck_out_tongue:

Prove it (with pictures).

I’m a visual learner.

Seem pretty cool. How did you get hoked up with the mag? Did you just send them some of your work?

I am not in the industry or antyhing, just am curious as to how that works…

No problem; you deserve all the attention you get. I’ll be checking out the Muscle Mag for any new art (God knows I don’t read it)

I guess youre just going to have to take my word for it.

ID-- Awesome work.

I remember reading that you don’t use a tablet for your digital art. Do use Illustrator?

Do you specialize in vector (lines, etc) work or do you do raster (photos etc) art as well?

ID, freakin’ awesome!

I feel like the opposite of this should be my avatar. lol

ID,

‘Vector’ as in SVG? As in, you can enlarge the images without loss in quality?
