For the last two nights, I’ve had sexual fantasies of this manly chick at my gym. What’s a manly chick? Why am I interested in a manly chick? A manly chick is not Nicole Bass. That’s just a man. There’s something about a manly chick that’s alluring. She’s the type of chick that will have a beer with you, burp, scratch herself, and still look so fucking hot doing it. Then she’ll take you on the dance floor and abuse your body. There’s this manly soccer player chick at my school that every guy is infatuated with. As one of my friends once said, “she’s such a man. I know she pisses standing up. She’d probably kick my ass too. I want her to dominate me. She’s so damn sexy.” That’s the essence of a manly chick. The manly gym chick is no different. I want to tear her clothes off and have wild sex with her for hours at a time. I wonder what Freud would say about this.

There are some things that just need to stay on each side of the sexual fence. Burping, scratching coming from a woman definitely do not interest me.
I guess what you want is the manly mind, sort of like a chick that almost has the mind of a man (where it counts) and still some distinctiveness that is truly feminine (body + some differences, in line with gender identity). Guess what: a chick that puts self respect and willingness to fight back fit the bill without falling in the female hockey player (almost butch) syndrome. Specially if she has WITS (damn sexy) instead of brute force.
Based on behavior, I guess you would dig Angelina Jolie in the film Gia.

I think that the attraction is probably more psychologic than physical. I know that when I’ve been attracted to “manly” chicks, it’s mainly just been because she was different. The large majority of women look exactly the same, even the good looking ones. If a girl can look somewhat manly and still look good, that’s fucking hot in my book.

Athletic chicks have always done it for me. The type that are in shape and have some semblance of muscle. I like them. I, however, do not like the chicks that dominate me. I would be a-feared for my life if that were the case.

On the other hand, if you strip off her clothes in your fantasy and find out she has optional accessory parts…well, you should probably get that checked out.
Having read quite a bit of Freud, let me tell you, he gets a bad rap. The man not only came up with the foundations for modern psycho-therapy, he also predicted the influence of hormones/neuro-transmitters in mood and sexuality. Plus a whole host of other things. Of course, he couldn’t possibly have been right on everything, but don’t listen to what your psych prof told you about Freud. I swear they get kickbacks for misquoting him and then ‘proving him wrong.’

I don’t necessarily agree, and I sure the hell am no expert, but there are some who would say that that type of attraction could mean the person has some possible homosexual tendencies in a latent form, or some possible doubts about their masculinity.
But who knows…
I personally prefer a certain softness, a femininity in ladies. I liked to be relied upon, to an extent, without being clung to. Mix that with athleticism, like JWright says, and a fondness for adventure, and you have, well, my wife!
