So I tapped my head 7 times last night deliberately, and I woke up at 7! It worked!
Couldn’t believe how strong I was on the squat today. I wish I could single out one thing and say it was that. Could be the nitrates in the beetroot juice that I’ve just started having. Could be that I decided to try some core activisation exercises at the start of the workout. Could be that I chose to have the stance width that I naturally have without widening the stance a couple inches. It felt strong. And I’m now even stronger on this lift than before the break. So I will test my 1RM next week and see if I can’t shoot for at least 170kg. It feels good that the squat’s doing well while the bench is struggling, because for such a long time it’s been the other way round.
Holy cow, just watched Johnny Candito bang out 405 for 18. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xr_VNiNOqoMThis is some next level shit. I can’t even do 405 for 1! But, my squat felt super strong today, so who knows, maybe I’ve found the right stance and I’ll start getting stronger.
Since I did OHP hard and heavy I’ve no more pain in the shoulder, it’s amazing! Gonna definitely keep it in my program.
