Might be urban myth, I do not think it is. It has also been called “polar bear hunting” not my term. Separate website referenced some video and I believe a police report. Why not call it what it is, felony assault. Hopefully the offenders get their proper punishment. I do not think this is new. It is only seen as knew because it has been given a name, which labels it a game.
Situational awareness may help but I think if they have picked you as a target you are in trouble. The other article I read on this had a comment posted about one victim had used a firearm to defend themselves , might also be urban myth. I like the idea about the trench coat and being able to keep your hand on your pistol. Where I live trench coats are uncommon, but some other long coat might work.
I doubt the people on this website are the demographic these punks are hunting but we can not always be there to keep our loved ones safe.

I agree with your sentiment and would want to do the same, however, for the greater good, they need to be gunned down on the spot in the street for all to see. No sense having them just vanish. I certainly don’t deny the stuff about who is committing which crimes. Black Americans murder at a rate 4 or 5 times their actual percentage of the population. (They also, by the way, murder each other. Most crime is intraracial: whites murder whites, blacks murder blacks.)
Where I suspect that you and I differ is on the reason for all of this.
