NICE pr’s!

I would have been way more impressed if your food was a meal instead of sequential.

Thanks, CBear. Now that I realize there are points for creative food combos, I’ll get right on that.

100 miles on a bicycle makes me throw up a little in the back of my throat. thanks, kimba.

I also think that’s funny … but a lot of people your size can’t do it.

True, although more to the point, most small women don’t even try.

Kimba, I seriously love that. When I first started deadlifting, a taciturn gentleman I work with was in the gym when I loaded on the 35’s (just 35’s). I have never heard this man speak. Seriously. He blurted out “Holy crap, what are you going to do with that!”.

I love deadlifting.

Ninja cat video was total win! I LOL’d hard.

Exactly right. Arachne and Kimba – spreading shock and awe amongst average men since 2009.

And, Ninja Kitty for the win! So. Funny.

definitely ninja kitty FTW! made me actually laugh out loud, a rare thing these days.

can you believe that i used to do a ton of riding? i’ve done a couple centuries myself. now i stick to the v twin style of bike for my big fat ass.

I’m glad of that. Keep your head up! Better days are ahead.

I completely believe it. But the burning question now is, do you wear the lycra bike shorts???

P.S. I also have a turquoise cruiser bike with flowers painted on it and a big banana seat. I draw the line at handlebar streamers, though.

the cat video is even now being circulated to many of my friends.

100 miles on a bike? Maybe in a cab…

How’d that ninja cat video get on there?

Posting in your sleep, were you?

I swear that my fucking squat will be the death of me. With that, I bring you tonight’s training.

Back squats to 4 risers plus a step
Bar 1 x 10 warmup
70# 1 x 10
85# 1 x 5 - second to last rep had butt wiggle
95# 1 x 3 - pretty good, some knee cave
105# 0 x 0 - total fail! WTF??
100# 1 x 3 - last rep was ugly
105# 0 x 0 - total fail even with a spotter! ARGGHHH!
100# 2 x 3 - knee cave, last rep of last set was especially ugly
70# 3 x 10 - all good

Now, how can the addition of 5 measly pounds lead to total fail coming off of a triple? Grrrrrr. Not a happy camper. Especially since I got a double at 105# last week.

Bench Press
75# 1 x 3 - failed on 4
70# 1 x 5 - was experimenting with a narrower grip, wasn’t comfortable with it
70# 1 x 7, 1 x 5

Well, I’ve had worse bench days.

One armed Bent Over Dumbbell Rows
45# 1 x 8, 2 x 5 ← PR +5#

Finally, something to be happy about. First time touching the 45#, and my grip didn’t give out. YAY!

Cable Pull-throughs
126.76# 1 x 10
137.78# 2 x 10 <–PR +10#

This is pulling about 3/4 of the weight stack. Very pleasing.

Decline situps with 5# plate behind head
1 x 20 ← rep PR +10 Will try the 10# plate again next time.

Apparently I will keep trying in the weight room until there is improvement in something. Tonight it took awhile.

Awesome on those reps for rows! must. catch. kimba…

As for squats, I bet you anything it’s psychological. If you can do 3 at 100 you can do 1 at 105. You just didn’t believe you could.

Kimba rocks!
