No this guy’s name is Mike, he wasn’t even aware of powerlifting until I started talking to him about it. He can also bench high 300s and I have seen him deadlift 500 for reps. Best part is he is an elementary education major doing student teaching right now, I imagine it being exactly like kindergarten cop.

Match our bodytypes eh? I feel like I just got called fat, but not sure… It is weird that Chad Smith is 100 lbs heavier than me and looks like if we stood next to each other we wouldn’t look THAT different. If this picture will post-

Yes I am a lazy piece of shit for training 6 days a week and taking the one day off where I have class and work from 0830-2200. I already tried getting excessively fat to get strong, didn’t work at as well as I hoped.

  2. Jim Wendler is like a hipster in the lifting world. He puts some good information out and I followed 5/3/1 for a long time with decent results, but he is constantly making fun of people for trying and for caring about stuff. Plus his taste in music sucks.

September 4th- Legs

Since I injured my lower back last week I had to skip that squat session entirely. So coming into today I hadn’t squatted in 15 days and I was very excited to train today.

Today went well, I hit a decent PR that would have probably been higher had I been able to train last week. I am excited to go into the final wave and hit a big PR at the end of the program, I definitely feel my squat has benefited a lot from the Juggernaut Method.

2x8 95 -I did these one leg at a time, there is a big stability aspect to this lunge variation and I like them.

I won’t be starting this wave for another week but might as well throw these up now.

Overhead Press: 172.5
Close Grip Bench: 322.5 -These two are going to be annoying to calculate with.
Deadlift: 470
Squat: 410

I will write down some goals to commit to as well-

For the final week of the 3s wave I am supposed to do 90% for as many reps as possible, my weights and goals for these for all of my lifts are:

Overhead Press: 155x8 -This will be tough but will be a huge PR for me if I can pull it off, especially considering how I haven’t had my overhead press budge for an embarrassingly long time.

Close Grip Bench: 290x6 -I feel this is completely doable.

Deadlift: 425x8 -This is reaching and I will have to dig deep if I want to get close to this.

Squat: 370x6 -I feel this is a conservative goal I should definitely be able to hit.

Hitting all or any of these would mean the Juggernaut Method was a huge success for me. After I do my final week of the program I plan on deloading for a week or so and then testing my maxes in all of these lifts, I will probably then play around with my bench grip a bit, and then I will start training with Josh Bryant, which I am insanely excited for.

September 10th- Legs

First session using a new pair of shoes I just bought off of Amazon-

They felt great on squat, made hitting depth more comfortable, my feet felt stapled to the floor, and the shoes were tight and didn’t let my feet move inside. I got a size 12, they are a bit long through the toes but not excessively so where it will cause issues, I have wide feet so I wear a size 12 on all of my shoes but length wise I am more of a 11-11.5. (insert penis joke)

I will probably only wear them for squat, I may see how they feel on bench too. I should get another pair of shoes for deadlifting and general training purposes because the chucks I have been wearing for nearly three years are in shambles.

On to the session, still deloading but decided to hit a front squat PR I knew I would have for sure just to put the shoes to the proper test.
