They choose suffering in that part of the world. Are there any Muslim nations that aren’t either third world crapholes or authoritarian states? If they aren’t killing infidels they are killing each other. The West chose philosophy, democracy, science, tolerance, freedom, individualism and the arts. Muslims chose obedience.
I’m sure hamas is just dying to end the war… they want to negotiate in good faith 
Hamas wants to continue the fight and blame Israel for civillian casulties while they violate the rules of war by hiding behind civillians.
Hamas is an evil that needs to be eliminated from this earth. Organisations like Hamas represent an existential threat to Israel and the western world as a whole.

I will fully admit I have very little knowledge of the details of the Jewish religion. But it just seems odd that they have dropped the blood sacrifices that, by all written within the Law, is the foundation of the Jewish religion.
IMO, both religions, Jew and Christian, are bloody religions. The Christians still claim the power in the Blood for the remission of sins.
