It’s the typical playbook. He’s trying to appear clever when really, it’s all about avoiding certain realities regarding his faith. They also don’t want to acknowledge certain cultural realities with regard to the people in the region. Arab supremacy is a thing.
Yes, I’d consider what happened to the people who worked for the Charlie Hebdo magazine in 2015 or the death threats and assassination attempts suffered by Danish cartoonist Cartoonist Kurt Westergaard to be a bit of an overreation. Just my opinion.
What I mean is that you don’t believe the scriptures that I hold as the truth and I don’t believe that anything you hold as truth. My small mind cannot see how you can be convinced of anything I would show you from the Bible. You don’t believe any of it. Anytime you quote from the scriptures you believe, I don’t believe they are inspired by God. Where do we have common ground?
That said, I will respond to any of your questions. I will do so with what God says, but you need to know that IMO if you don’t quote from the Bible I don’t believe that God said it. It came from a man. Might my belief get me killed by a devote Muslim?
I have never read the Quran, the reason why I asked you…i made the assumption (my mistake) that you have read the Quran and would know how your God grants a believer in Islam: salvation and eternal life
Hamas lies about almost everything, but even their media propaganda works against them if you ask some basic questions.
From the article.
”The death toll among Palestinians passed 8,300, mostly women and children, the Gaza Health Ministry said Monday.”
That sounds terrible, but why mostly women and children? Why aren’t the men in harm’s way, but women and children are?
It is a mistake to assume that everyone thinks like you do and wants what you do, especially in war. Cultures are not created equal, which is why you don’t see the IDF advancing behind a shield composed of women and children, nor would they ever put babies on tank turrets.
Hamas has a very different value system that sees women and children as military assets, not the purpose of military assets.
Obviously, because you aren’t a Muslim. If you were, you would most likely either agree with it as being the only correct reaction or, you would waffle and say you don’t agree with the reaction but, you can understand it. Which really means you’re ok with it.
Can you explain why showing Muhammad specifically is so offensive? My understanding is that Islam considers that Muhammad is a prophet similar to many prophets from other religions like Noah, Moses, Abraham, and even Jesus. Does Islam also find it offensive to depict those prophets or is it only offensive to depict Muhammad? If only Muhammad, why only him? Just curious.
Much like mathematics, IMO, belief in God requires its own axioms before logic is an effective next step.
But as to the “axioms” of Islam, what are the oldest manuscripts that you believe are the word of God. Is there nothing within the Bible (of 66 books) that Islam considers the word of God?
You talk about “the prophet Jesus.” What supporting scripture do you have that teaches anything about Jesus? I just don’t know.
You should know that all of the scriptures of the Old Testament teach about Jesus;
Luke 24:25, "Then he said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken:
26 Ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter into his glory?
27 And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself."
