The Innocence of Egypt

Huma Abedin’s State Department recently described Egypt as an ‘ally.’ Egypt receives more than 2 billion dollars in annual ‘aid’ from the U.S., most of which is spent on their military.

President Morsi’s reaction to the attack on the U.S. embassy was to call for the prosecution of the filmmaker and to call on his Brotherhood to continue with further attacks.

'The Muslim Brotherhood’s official English language account posted a message from its deputy head, Khairat el-Shater, expressing his desire that relations withstand the ‘turbulence’ of ‘recent protests.’

U.S. Embassy in Cairo, twitter response: ‘Thanks. By the way, have you checked your own Arabic feeds? I hope you know we read those too.’

The Brotherhood’s Arabic feed included messages that praised the protests, such as “Egyptians revolt for the Prophet’s victory in front of the U.S. embassy.”

With allies like this, who needs enemies?

Are you surprised? I saw this shit coming months ago and they laughed at me, now wannabe Patriots are coming out of the woodwork all of a sudden with tired cliches’ like: “DUH, With allies like these, DUH, who needs enemies?”
Your first mistake was assuming that they were allies in the first place.

You’re confused. I never assumed they were an ally. Quite the contrary.
