"Egypt’s powerful Muslim Brotherhood says Islamic Shariah law must be the basis of Egypt’s new constitution, and legislation must be based on Islamic penal code.
The Brotherhood said in a statement Wednesday that a country ruled by Shariah would not become a theocracy. President Mohammed Morsi comes from the Brotherhood.
The statement appeared to be an attempt to clarify the group’s position toward the country’s most contentious issue â?? the extent of Islamic influence in governance and legislation.
The 100-member Islamist-led panel tasked with drafting the new document has been facing heavy criticism, mostly from liberals who fear Islamization of Egypt through its work.

Naivete is a huge part of it I think Obama is like the prof in Back to School, great when it comes to book smarts but has no clue how the real world works. Too many years reading and no doing as it where, I’ve worked with many many many bright eye just out of school collefe kids who just are amazed the job they have is not what their al mighty profs told them it would be

My 2 cents: Obama is not a Muslim and never was. From what I gather it’s bad form to say someone who claims to be a Christian is not a Christian, but I think it’s pretty clear that Obama is an atheist who cynically professes the faith to gain support from black and liberal Christians. The reason he supports the enemy is simple: his ideology. He is hostile to Israel and sympathises with Islamists. To him, Israel(and America) are colonial powers and Islamists are oppressed minorities. It’s as simple as that.
