The Incredible Hulk

Just saw it last night. Thought this version was much, much better as I thought the first one sucked. The characters were better, the story line and the Hulk was so much more complete. No comparison between the two.

Ang Lee’s version isn’t horrible he just doesn’t look too menacing.

That’s just it, the Hulk SHOULD be menacing by default, with layers of softness WITHIN.

I concur, I was saying that Ang Lee’s Hulk was more of the run away and commune with nature Hulk that shows up sometimes in comics. The Animation was great quality, just didn’t make you drop your jaw like the recent Hulk.

Side note: who directed Norton’s version?

It was directed by Louis Leterrier, who’s only other directing credit was Transporter 2. Weird, I just watched that on Friday. Must be some kind of weird movie association super power I have.

EDIT: I was wrong, he also directed Unleashed and The Transporter.

It was written by Zak Penn, who will be involved in the writing for both Captain America, The Avengers and Spy Hunter. He was also in involved with X2 and X3.

I’m hoping Favreau gets Avengers for the director role.

He did say he was interested in The Avengers, but also said that if he directs Iron Man 2, that there’s no way he’d be able to do Iron Man 2 for 2010 and The Avengers in 2011. Favreau has already said he’s concerned that the 2010 release date for Iron Man 2 is unrealistic. The good news is that Marvel has apparently made a formal offer to Favreau for IM2, so hopefully he’ll sign for that soon.

EDIT: Interesting Favreau interview.

I caught this last night and I’ve gotta say, I haven’t enjoyed a movie to that degree in quite some time.

I mean hell, I might even pick up a comic book.

But why did they have to make the villain an englishman? That’s so stereotypical, you sheep.

Seriously?

You might want to go back and read the “Just Saw Iron Man” movie thread.[/quote]

No no I remember, I didn’t remember the other guys username.

My apologies to NeelyDan.

Good interview. I would rather they push Avengers back than try to put some other director that I would have less faith in. Don’t get me wrong, I liked the Hulk but I loved Iron Man.

Same here, I’d rather it come out later and be done well, than rush it so it can be in the theaters by a certain date. If that’s the schedule Marvel really wants to go with, then they are likely going to have to film these movies simultaneously.
