No, I didn’t. I applied to three dental schools only and was accepted to all. Honestly, does this upset some of you? You really believed every dentist was some failed med school reject? Or does this just help you rationalize what you want to believe?

10 years of residency+med school compared to four years of dental and optional 1-2 year residency is reason enough for more people to choose that route.

You act like the DAT is so easy. It isn’t, and neither are the two board exams you have to take to get that degree/title.

Are we done now with this or are there really more of you attempting to act like ‘dentist’ does not equal “doctor”?

I mean, it isn’t like I am the one bringing up my profession so often when others keep bringing it up on every page.

I sent in my AMCAS 2 weeks ago, and I was only asking you that question because I was simply curious, asshole. I wasn’t attempting to belittle your career choice because I know it’s probably the smarter way to go if you want more time off with around the same pay.

And, how am I acting as if the DAT is so easy? All I said was that the MCAT is a bitch, which it is (I took it). If I were to talk about the DAT, I would say that it is beastly, but it still isn’t at the same difficulty level as the MCAT. And by the way, since we are comparing dick sizes, there are more than 2 board exams for the MD and then even more if you want to go into specific residencies.

Damnit Prof. X can you be my dentist? It’ll fix two problems, one of me lacking a dentist (mine won’t call me back) and two having one that lifts. My family doctor lifts, which is awseom to have one that understands being a strongman competitor.

It is likely you may not do well because of all of those sections pertaining to perceptual ability.

You logged in and asked a question, qualifying that question by implying that dentists become dentists because they fail at med school. Otherwise, why would you tell me about some “several friends” you have who supposedly failed or how the MCAT is supposedly so much harder? Then YOU seem to be the one throwing a hissy fit because I called you on it.

The only person who seems upset right now is you.

Comparing dick sizes? Graduate first, then we can compare. You haven’t been accepted yet into any program.

Getting in isn’t even close to the hardest part.

If you had not misinterpreted the initial post, I would now be asking you some of those questions above. I can understand why you are so defensive, though. There are movies (The Hangover, Good Luck Chuck, etc…) that suggest dentists are not real doctors. You cannot assume everyone holds this opinion.

Dude, are you kidding? is English not your first language? You did not realize how that would be taken as condescending? Medical school first but when fail opt for dentistry? Dentistry can’t be a first choice? Let’s see: nearly equal or more pay, much better hours, respected by the lay person and many stunning women want to take one home to mommy.

Yeah…utterly stupid choice. Much better to become a physician and work 100 hours a week, stress like crazy over the next asshole who is going to sue, be charged an arm and a leg for insurance, deal more with red tape then with patients as well as nurses who think they know better (can you tell my best friend is an internist?).

Don’t get me wrong, it is an honorable profession but you should get into it because you feel called to do so, to help your fellow man. Obviously, based on your arrogance and haughtiness it is just a career choice for you.
