but its common knowledge that dentists are med school rejects

Oh…and for this, many dentists are now making more than MDs. I am not sure where you got your info from, but the same strict entrance requirements for med school exist for dental school.
Well, did you attempt to get into medical school first? Don’t worry, I have several friends that went the Dentistry route after failing to get into medical school. That MCAT can be a bitch.
No, I didn’t. I applied to three dental schools only and was accepted to all. Honestly, does this upset some of you? You really believed every dentist was some failed med school reject? Or does this just help you rationalize what you want to believe?
10 years of residency+med school compared to four years of dental and optional 1-2 year residency is reason enough for more people to choose that route.
You act like the DAT is so easy. It isn’t, and neither are the two board exams you have to take to get that degree/title.
Are we done now with this or are there really more of you attempting to act like ‘dentist’ does not equal “doctor”?
I mean, it isn’t like I am the one bringing up my profession so often when others keep bringing it up on every page.
I am also laughing at “several friends”. Right.
Personally, you’re also a big fat hypocrite because you dismiss his anecdotal evidence, yet you present yours as fact. (We should take your word that you never applied to med school and batted 1,000 on dental school but this guy can’t have several friends?)
BUT…in this case X is actually the winner because if in fact he’s a good dentist he’ll be laughing all the way to the bank. Dental insurance doesn’t cover shit, it’s almost exclusively out of pocket. My friends who are physicians are crying the blues because they feel that with the combo of Obama-care and tighter insurance regulations, they will not be as wealthy as they should be.
