Because certain people need goals like this to strive for. I think it’s great.
Really enjoyed reading your post.
I guess I’m a fatty since I’m certainly more than 15%.

No you’re not. Ever.

alright K, I am going to give you the best bit of non-fat bulking advice you have ever had.
ready?
buy a half a bison (tasty, with optimal omega 3/6 ratio, and mostly yummy grassfed proteiny goodness)
eat it between now and your show.
you should probably lift fairly often
good luck![/quote]
But the butcher can’t sell him the bison until someone else buys the other half.

I am starting to give some serious thought to stepping on stage. There’s a natty show in my area with a masters division. I could conceivably make a run for next spring. Problem is I’M SMALL! And my last couple bulk/cut cycles have been a year long process of packing on 20ish pounds to gain 5ish lbs of muscle, and a long and painful diet. It’s stupid. It’s impractical. It would be a strain on my family.

Go for it.
Packing on 20 lbs to gain 5 lbs doesn’t sound very efficient. Is bulking up still the way to go?
I’ve seen a few documentaries on BBers preparing for comps and it looks like it’s only the last few weeks of a very strict diet that they become impossible to live with.
I’m sure you’ll win just with your posing routine. Ha Ha.

I wouldn’t go nuts on the bulking at least not to the point you put on too much extra Body fat. But I would suggest focusing on any weak points you have on your physique. But most of all just have fun with it.
Serious question. will this be a tested competition ?

Yep. Random polygraph, saliva, and urine testing. Serious question back at ya: why do you ask?

Considering the fact that 12% of bodyfat on women is considered ‘essential’, that would make you ripped!!!
in all seriousness, I know how uncomfortable the ‘post-chinese-buffet’ powerbloat can be.
Instead of causing yourself so much misery, instead of eating the standard 8 bodybuilder meals per day, can you just eat once per hour? or something?
Hey, can you try mixing your shakes with whole milk + some cream, but only half the liquid (ie 8 oz of milk/cream instead of 16-24 oz water? it will be pretty thick, but you’re prolly pounding water all day anyway… 1 cup milk + 2 scoops protein? 65g protein, maybe 15g carb, you’d want to add a little something with carborific value, but hopefully give you the cals and macros you need without making you feel all piggly.
just trying to help…

Sunday
Sweet f##k all. I am supposed to be doing military press today but after 3 hours of meal prep, communion classes, and 6 hours sleep I think I’ll just sit on my ever-expanding rear and relax.
Thoughts
Holy crap I hate eating at surplus. I go to bed so full I atually feel sick to my stomach. I come home from work so full I eat an anorexic supper. This is f##king WORK!
Holy crap I hate being this fat. My stomach suddenly popped out a couple weeks ago like I was starting my second trimester, and it is HARD!
I am keeping my eyes on the goal here. I am eating for a purpose. Head down. Push forward.
I’m playing this video game. I like. A lot. Yeah Iknow there’s already a sequel.

Real dedication means eatting a whole bag… on top of a big bowl of ice cream.
So does this eating til you puke stuff mean you’re bulking up to do that comp?

Just as I was setting, up a nice looking young lady in Lululemon yoga pants walks up and asks if I’m going to be using the cage. I said sorry, but I was just getting started and was going to be a while. She smiled and wondered if I’d mind her setting up behind me, which I didn’t.
She then proceded to yank some 225lb deadlifts off the floor. It was so hot I almost messed my pants.
THOUGHTS…
What do you mean “rep me”?
Nah man you arent a head case your excited and have a passion for something thats awesome, but you are a head case for other things you have mentioned ![]()
