Yes it’s true! I have come up with the greatest discovery of our time! Well, perhaps second best to Jack Black’s discovery of “inward singing”, but I gotta tell you, it’s a CLOSE SECOND.
The world of post-workout nutrition seems to be dominated by Surge, and rightly so… it’s a richeous post workout drink! …but it tastes like ass. shrug sorry guys, it’s true. There’s another thing that tastes like ass but is necessary to chug down. Yup, ya gotta drink the greens.
Today, I figured, what the hell, why not combine two nasty beverages into one NASTY beverage and just get it the fuck over with. I added my Surge. I added my Creatine. I added my Greens. I added water and shook.
…and yea, when I raised the putrid looking light green concoction to my lips, I felt my heart falter in anticipation of the horror that was sure to follow the ingestion of such an alchemical nightmare… yet the wretching did not come. In its place, a distinct smile upon my face, and a refreshing beverage in my mouth and belly. COULD IT BE? DO TWO HORRIBLE WRONGS MAKE A RIGHT? I sipped again. It was true! It tasted like Odwalla Superfood! Holy SHIT! This stuff ROCKS!
And so, my brothers and sisters in Iron, I bequeath unto you, the greatest (or perhaps second greatest) discovery of our time.

The fact that you think Surge tastes BAD makes me wonder. I think Surge tastes great.
I think most westerners are spoilt rotten on a diet of sugar and like the taste of sweet things only. I wonder if their taste buds are actually stuffed or if it is just a mental thing.
I LOVE the taste of 100% pure hydro whey with no sweetener. It is bitter. Bitter is good. Sour is good. Salty is good. Sweet is OK but more for kids.
I think people complaining about surge need to broaden their tastes.

I’m digging the Isopure right now with some dextrose mixed in post workout (vanilla flavor)…tastes pretty good, anyone else think so?
I find Isopure to be damn near identical to Grow! whey. Same shit in my eyes.

I agree. Our taste buds have been fucked up over the years.

I had my first serving of Surge today…I have to agree. I imagine my taste buds will adapt, perhaps I mixed it too thick. Weird chemicalish aftertaste. Though, seeing as I just bought 100 bucks worth of the stuff, I’ll be making sure my taste buds adapt real quick.
Oh how I wish my milk, frappacino, banana, whey and powerade powder shakes were as effective…

don’t the greens interere with the quick absorbtion of the hydrosate and carbs?
Agree.
Post workout is the only period when you should skip wegetables/greens, precicely: fiber.
Are you kidding me? It has what…2 grams of fiber? Not much and wont stop the insulin spike at all
I was asking before, because I don’t know… and I still don’t know how greens+ gets processed by the body. But I don’t see what’s so hard about taking Surge by itself. You can take powerdrive, grenns+ and other things 30-45 mins later.
hey man, all I know is that I don’t like Surge, but I like what it does, and the same goes for greens. It’s not because I don’t like bitter either - I LOVE bitter. My favorite beers are British Ales. I honestly don’t know what it is about Surge that I don’t like. …but I know for sure that greens and Surge are a winning fucking combo.
I didn’t notice any adverse effects on the insulin spike or anything, I just felt well, AWESOME afterwords, and it went down a HELLOVA lot easier. I know its one of those weird things that doesn’t seem like it’d go well together, but hey, sharp cheddar and apples is great together, so is peanut butter and celery. I mean, who was the genius that thought to filter their barley liquor through peat moss and came up with Scotch whiskey?
I’m telling you, try it, and you will allllll thank me.
