The Great Global Warming Swindle

My feeling is that regardless as to where you fall on this issue; when Science is manipulated and/or bastardized to support a political/religious view; EVERYONE loses.

This is Right wing Political WHACK JOBBERY run amok . We are fracking many areas . Drilling huge holes in the ground , pumping who knows what in the ground , fracturing the foundation of Earth . And does anyone know the consequences ? Many of these fracking sites are over major AQUIFERS . Maybve we can leave our world to the next Generations to be a Earth quake infested planet with no potable water . Who fucking cares . we need oil and gas

x2. Alternative shit can wait for a bit while we figure out how ween off of foreign oil (funny because we import most of our oil from Canada and Mexico).

Are you suggesting that fracking somehow affects earthquakes?
You can’t be that stupid.

Earthquakes are the result of continental plates shifting, fracking(in fact anything humans have ever done with geology) literally barely scratches the surface. Not only does someone know this, but anyone having taken middle school geology would know this.
Obviously, I was wrong and you are just an alarmist idiot.

And what are your credentials ? I did not say fracking caused or causes anything . I said we are approaching an area that we do not know the consequences and proceeding full steem ahead .

Do you know if fracking has ruined ground water supplies . I will tell you I know the answer

Stop using the word “we” for fuck’s sake. You don’t speak for the energy companies or all the people affected adversely or otherwise by fracking. Just because you don’t understand the difference in magnitude between the energy of a continental shelf slipping and fracking doesn’t mean “we don’t know” you ignorant fuck.
Also who the fuck asks for credentials for something grade-schoolers learn on a regular basis. Maybe I should ask for your credentials for claiming that ground water with industrial chemicals mixed in it is safe to drink? While I’m at it maybe I should check for a dimploma to see if you know the formula for water?

Are you fuckin serious? You want me to go find a middle-school geology book?
Look asshole, I distinctly remember learning in 8th grade geology that large continental plates were 100+ miles thick. It was right before we started learning about the hardness scale.
If you want a source for this: here you fucking go.

Jesus Christ! Who gives a fuck what these assholes think. there are scientist that believe that aliens built the pyramids too.
The fact of the matter is that making a connection between the amount of energy hydrolic fracturing releases and a fucking 5.8 earthquake is just as fucking absurd.
A 5.8 magnitude earthquake is what you would get directly over a 200 megaton nuke going off underground.
You really want to continue to speculate that hydrolic pressure pumped from the surface 1% deep into the crust is responsible?

Mufasa[/quote]

This issue has been so incredibly politicized, that I don’t think unbiased information is available. However a few facts are pretty clear.

  • Anything that exists on the planet affects the planet, large or small.

  • The available amount of climate data, is extremely small. 120 years is almost too small to even consider. Therefore climate models based off of that small amount of data is very unreliable.

  • It’s been trending warmer lately.

  • Climate is cyclical if history is a judge. Climate has historically gotten warmer and colder.

  • Climate has thousands of variables.

  • The idea that climate changes are slow and consistent is wrong. There are periods of stagnation with large bumps in either direction that happens in short periods of time.

  • If we are quickly approaching the top of the warmth curve, we should be starting a cooling cycle, soon. It does not trend infinitely in either direction.

  • Panic is unwarranted, if damage is done it cannot be undone.

  • Efficiency is the greenest philosophy, not ad hoc band aids.

  • Hybrids fucking suck, they are toxic as fuck, and I want to make a huge pile of the and blow them to hell. They are not ‘green’ they just transfer the pollution.

  • Prius’s are gay and the people who drive them kill kittens for fun.
