The Getting Lean Thread

looks like the majority of you guys are doing low carb? Where are you putting your fat at? Protien first then fat then carbs? Just curious…
What do you mean?

I would say a high carb day is fine. Provided it’s on a difficult training day like legs or back and the bulk of the carbs are taken in the post workout meal.
And the day AFTER the high carb day should also be a difficult training day?
Or a morning fasted cardio day?

thanks for the responses. My calories are 40% carb, 30% protein, and 30% fat, but I’d like to get the carbs to a higher % as I advance.

I didn’t plan it, but my high carb day fell on a tough bench day, and the day after was a squat/deadlift day. Personally it helps a lot to have carbs + water/sodium anywhere from hours to a day before a heavy/high volume session.

Erry day is High Carb day.

lol I reread what I wrote…it would have been much easier to ask what is your ratio

I wondered if you had your fat grams higher than your protein grams.

my protein stays at 295g every day and fat changes from 20g to 45g to 65g depending on wether it is a high medium or low carb day

Yup

Fat>Protein>Carbs

Took DDs advice and did some hang cleans outside. Damn my grass needs to be cut!

Lifting with the sun on my back was surprisingly refreshing and I hit a pr (176lbs).

I did battle ropes and pull ups (using a tree branch) outside yesterday.

I think the vitamin D makes you feel good.

Planing on pulling the sled around this evening.

The battle ropes is a good idea. I’ve got just the place for them too.

I want to make a few stones for outside also. Strongman training can be a lot of fun.

^ how thick are your ropes DD?

Not sure, my wife bought them for me. It’s a thick hemp one though. Thicker than the ones I’ve seen in gyms. It’s extra fun after it rains because it gets water logged.
