The Future of Testosterone Nation?

I am a moderator now in the bodybuilding forum but I can’t move threads out of that forum to other forums.

This would probably be the most useful ability for you to have. If you could just move certain threads to the beginners forum (like this weeks new total body training thread by dan.desroches) that could keep a lot of useless old arguments from clogging up the bb forum.

The only thing that changed was when the forums got taken off site, I realised there’s alot of people in SAMA and GAL now that don’t even lift. But that’s cool. I only go there for laughs.
Your joking right?..about the not lifting part. I don’t think they’re idiots, it just seems weird. However like you said stockzy, it’s for the laughs and it’s no biggie.

This always strikes me as bizzarre as well.

I’m on the site daily. I make my living in front of a computer screen and it’s an easy break in the monotony. Reading about and seeing training vids gets me psyched up for my PM workout after sitting on my ass all day. There’s also some pretty funny stuff sometimes in GAL and PWI is always good for some form of sick entertainment.

Having said that, if I didn’t train, I wouldn’t be hanging around a training/bodybuilding site. That’s just retarded. There are 1000’s of funnier places on the web, and I’m a moderator on the biggest political site in my state, so I don’t need PWI for that discussion.

There are regulars in GAL/PWI/SAMA with 1000’s of posts and I’ve never seen them post once in BBing, PL, or any of the ‘training’ forums or even discuss training. Why hang out at a bodybuilding site (for lack of a better term) if you don’t train?
I’m not sure the above is fair. I used to look at the GAL forum like the plague, echoing much the sentiment as you above. However, as someone that does the damn thing (PL and train very fucking hard), how much is there to really talk about? How many times can you post about a training methodology?

Or perhaps, like me, you’re tied to one that works, and have no interest in changing other than tweaking here and there. And, how many times can you answer a question from someone that is resistant to advice or, you’re answering a Q relative to information already found on the site? I do train, but I guess I’m guilty of spending most of my time in GAL for entertainment purposes. I come here to read the articles for information I can use and, otherwise just for entertainment.

For some perspective, when this site first came out, Prof X may not remember, but there was actually some pretty intelligent discussion/debate going on here - sometimes heated yes. Maybe that still occurs, I don’t know. My impression is that the membership has gotten younger…late teens, early twenties - stayed at a Holiday Inn last night experts because they READ it somewhere, instead of APPLIED it and SUCCEEDED.

There is one such fuckface here that pollutes threads, he’s got his wingman, and the fucker 5 years ago was here posting pics as a 16 year old and he couldn’t (and still can’t) fill out his fucking underwear. No thanks. I’m not looking to talk training with the likes of them. The T-cell is great, but I don’t see much activity - or else maybe I’m not checking enough, I will start.

Finally, like most of you, I have other interests and I too go to other MBs, most notably dog related. And seriously guys, what occurs here is not that different than what occurs in other MBs/sites. Being on the internet is like driving a car - it makes people do and say things they would never do and say outside the car. Nothing is going to change that.

Can’t we all just stop arguing and stare at some titties?

the future of the T-Nation i hope it means skinny guys not being able to post and the huge guys having mod powers

I think some of you are missing that the OP apparently got his feelings hurt reading a thread in the bodybuilding forum which is why he made the thread and why I was mentioned. This wasn’t even started by someone with much in the way of valid criticism. We just have some very over-sensitive posters here whose ruffles get all bunched up n a knot when challenged.
And yet when you are challenged you take offence yourself ?
Surely you cannot have reached the very pinnacle of your goals, and can sit there on high, passing judgement and criticising everyone at every turn, and yet NEVER listen to someone elses viewpoint?

Just a thought!

Da$^, yall write too much. Couldn’t even read all this. Future of T-Nation? Idk, however, i do like reading the articles. haha. Good stuff.

i love the site. there is a tendency towards cliquishness and negativity bringing down topics in threads a lot more lately but that echoes real-life situations. there are still a lot of very funny people on the site.

i have learned alot about training and nutrition here that i would not have anywhere else for which i’m thankful. i am happy to have found Prof X, B. Contreras, D. John, J. Romaniello, C. Hyght and Pauline Nordin here.

overall, it’s a great place that has helped me tremendously. no one has to be a fan of the supps but i have a few that i really like.

This site has been the best free education of my life, and was a total turning point for me in terms of training lifestyle. Sure, some shit is always gonna find its way through, but that doesn’t take away from the value you can find here. I don’t post much, but have been reading here for years. I appreciate its offerings and take it with a grain of salt. Learn more, lift better, be discriminating.
