I honestly just come here because of the members. Reading articles and stuff is cool and helps every now and then (helped a LOT a couple yrs ago when I was still newbie), but some of the people here are just ridiculous/funny. It’s fun to bs around with em.

What’s pornographic about it? There’s no nips or vag. IMO it’s no worse than a commercial on TV. Hell man you would die in Greece, they show a guy putting sunscreen over a girls tits for a commercial.
I for one really appreciate this site and have learned much (most) of what i know about diet and exercise from the fantastic articles and senior members. is every article for me… defiantly not! but i am still open-minded about them and their authors point of view so that i can learn something from each one. there is limitless knowledge on this site and if anyone cant find what they are looking for its because are too lazy and probably wouldnt utilize that information anyways.
Bundy: in my opinion, you come off as a complete pussy. you should complain less, learn more, and lift harder. maybe post a pic so u have at least a little credibility. asking a question will help you much more than starting a worthless thread.

Every few months I see one of these “this site is going to shit” posts. It’s always has the same ingredients: 1) site used to be more hardcore 2) more hardcore members in the past, now they’ve all left because of all the disrespectful noobs 3) the hardcore members that are left are all too mean to the actual noobs who have potential and they leave/stop posting too 4) articles are not what they once were 5) blah, blah, blah.
Who cares, get a life…

I was just thinking the same thing.
This seems to happen every 6 to 8 months and it’s always the same thing. Some people begin to take things, including themselves, too seriously.
I’ve been coming here more or less since the site was started. In reality, the site hasn’t changed all that much since the forums were first implemented. Sure, there’s been a few changes here and there and more traffic, which means more newbs, but the biggest issue is that some vets, and wanna-be vets, get pissed that they don’t get more respect from the newbs.
If it’s really that bad here, why not spend your time on another site? Unless you’re the type that just likes to bitch and moan.
World goes on, Biotest still makes sales, members still bitch. Nothing new here…
hahaha
I appreciate the evolution that “t-mag” has gone through over the years (still have a nostalgic feeling for the old right side nav. layout!
) and don’t take anything overly serious (including my English or grammar). But really, I think too many people post here all the time to fill a void of something they’re missing in their lives. I know I was. I guess it’s similar to many of the authors who have had success here. They have bigger and better (and more financially enticing) things to do than write articles.
I’ll never complain over getting more Charles Poliquin though. Dude’s my personal Chuck Norris. So yeah there’s a bigger membership here, that’s awesome for Biotest, and development of their products, the original reason the site was created. Along with a bigger membership, there are more douschebag spamming trolls. It’s the way of the world. The bigger and better a club gets, the higher likelihood of getting more “jersey shore trash” type fucks. — Assuming the club wasn’t filled with ghetto fighting trash prior.
Biotest, I may not like the price points on all of your products, but keep up the good work. I may have been an ass in the past - but in my 21 year old humility (lol) I have learned positivity has infinitely more value to me.

You’re having a problem with the “Diarrhea, Diarrhea!” thread, aren’t you?
It’s a fantastic thread, what are you talking about?

This is troublesome to me as well. More because the only time I have to go on this site is when I’m at work. I really wish there was a way to block the avatars in your profile. I definitely get strange looks when I’m on the forum. Everyone’s avatars now are either half naked dudes or soft core porn shots or mini clips of chicks. Now I’m not against any of this but its not really work appropriate.
I guess I’m the only one who thinks the forums have been better in the past two years than the few years before them. Occasional complaints about newbs giving advice are a good thing; they keep things correct here.
I was going through some older threads from around 2007 or so, and it was like the crowd that didn’t speak from any experience but rather from articles and stuff were treated like their advice was equally important. The whole “pro BBers train that way since their assisted” argument was considered legitimate, too. And maybe the worst IMO, there were a shitload of people who seemed to be lying about their stats.
^That sounds like a board in trouble. At some point I guess the vets took control or something, and the BOI threads helped, too. I’d rather have what we have today, where people are very conscious of people who may not know what they’re talking about than the alternative.
As someone who reads there, it’s much easier when there’s no clutter from people who probably don’t know much. I don’t know, but I’d imagine there are still more readers on the training forums than posters, so this is important IMO.
Full disclosure: I don’t have pics in my profile either. But then, I never claim to have an impressive physique [I will] or numbers, and I tend to read more than post on the training forums, unless it’s a question.

I’ve been reading the free articles on this site for the past four years. The negative responses have always been there. What’s changed, I think, is the increase in membership (well, logins, at any rate).
You know what would be great is the ability to vote up/down individual posts (like YouTube does). If a post goes below a certain threshold, it’s hidden. I think that will help clean up some of the clutter.
I have a problem with that … peer moderation is dangerous and rarely objective. It’ll get personal and people can gang up on someone and get them pretty much “voted off the island” if they just straight up don’t like them. leave the moderation to the mods

Your joking right?..about the not lifting part. I don’t think they’re idiots, it just seems weird. However like you said stockzy, it’s for the laughs and it’s no biggie.

I think some of you are missing that the OP apparently got his feelings hurt reading a thread in the bodybuilding forum which is why he made the thread and why I was mentioned. This wasn’t even started by someone with much in the way of valid criticism. We just have some very over-sensitive posters here whose ruffles get all bunched up n a knot when challenged.

I have to agree. I like round booties. I do NOT like round booties popping on a big computer screen whenever I pull the site up and may be around company that has no clue why I am looking at soft core porn, whether that be at work or anywhere else.
Some of these guys have avatars that ARE blatantly pornographic. I don’t exactly bring my dvd collection to public places.

I respect your advice and the time you take to give it, but there are over sensitive members on both sides.
great articles, credible advice from X and KS and a few others, tons of bravado and posturing from safe distances, nice soft-core, variety of wit and wisdom and failures at same. dude, what could be better?
I say keep up the good work! This site with all the articles and forums has been like an answered prayer for me. I took a fall some years back and tore some muscles in my back and shoulder, Have not had good results from the physical therapist.
So I set out to educate myself and found this site, and today I am by far the best I’ve been in years and getting better every week. I am pretty sure that I’ll never be huge like prof X, and honestly don’t have the desire to be.
Doesn’t make me wrong. Doesn’t make anyone who wants to reach that level of development wrong either. I admire their efforts. The point is this site has a lot to offer everyone, and I think a little tolerance would do everyone and this site some good. Keep up the good work guys, and thanks!

This always strikes me as bizzarre as well.
I’m on the site daily. I make my living in front of a computer screen and it’s an easy break in the monotony. Reading about and seeing training vids gets me psyched up for my PM workout after sitting on my ass all day. There’s also some pretty funny stuff sometimes in GAL and PWI is always good for some form of sick entertainment.
Having said that, if I didn’t train, I wouldn’t be hanging around a training/bodybuilding site. That’s just retarded. There are 1000’s of funnier places on the web, and I’m a moderator on the biggest political site in my state, so I don’t need PWI for that discussion.
There are regulars in GAL/PWI/SAMA with 1000’s of posts and I’ve never seen them post once in BBing, PL, or any of the ‘training’ forums or even discuss training. Why hang out at a bodybuilding site (for lack of a better term) if you don’t train?
I don’t know why a lot of people would want to post in any BB thread. All that ever goes on their is shit slinging. Than of course we have the golden thread of T-cell where only the best of the best are allowed in. Let’s say one of these posters goes in and posts something that you big guys don’t agree with? he/she gets torn a new ass. I’d just assume leave my ass in SAMA/GAl/ and the such. Not worth the headache to be chastised online. I can get that home.
I will say this though, I do read a lot of on here and have learned a lot. Just not ready to post in those forums.
I see…I see…small people, very very angry small people.
Yes that is the future.
sorry for invading your club house and being an arrogant shit. i’m gunna stay though.
