In response to all the threads that inevitably spiral into race and class discussions, I bring you my take on where our future should be headed in order to achieve harmony.
We must break free from the chains that bind us: the past wrongdoings and the stranglehold that our consumerist culture has us in. We must migrate to the desert as one and form a new civilization. One in which there is no race, there is no sexual preference, one in which everyone can have a voice and that voice will never be censored. If you want to call someone the “N” word, then I say go with it, because in the new world that word won’t be one of hate, for it will be “wicked awesome person”
We shall cultivate our own food, farm the land, and hunt the four legged beasts of this earth for sustenance and not sport. Those unwilling to take part in consumption of flesh shall be free to do as they please as long as it does not interfere with their “role”. The women shall not be gatherers, no, they shall do as they please. For the strongest women, shall be revered and hold equal place in our society. And there will be no shirts, unless you are gross from the waist up then you will be forced to cover that mess up or be exiled to “The Other Side”
Jobs will be assigned based on merit and merit alone. There will be no complaining when the slow are not given roles as hunters, lest the slow be hunted for their insolence. All crime will be punishable by death and guilt will be determined by credible witnesses. In a society where anything is possible, there will be no need for crime. Gone will be the stereotypes of the impoverished Negro, the greedy Jew, and the evil white man for we will all be as one.
What will unite us? Combat, to the death. The strong shall survive, the weak shall perish. It will be our entertainment, our sport, and our reason for endlessly and relentlessly searching for new means of making muscle. Men vs women, white vs black, abled vs disabled…none of this will matter, it will simply be Warrior vs Warrior. Future combatants, put down your chains and take up your bats with nails sticking out of them. It’s time we reject what the “Old Guard” have deemed correct and take our place as the new Masters of the Universe.
^^ That reminds me, there will be no drugs, alcohol, or bodily poisons in the New World as we will have no need for crutches. When one has a craving, one shall simply enter combat and kill thine enemy or fornicate with the person of his or her choosing.

Here’s the thing about humans, we have memories. Cool, you want to go live in a tent like Cody Lundin in the middle of the desert … but you have to realize to be able to do in peace is to either be alone or with a small group of very like minded people. Oh, and you’re going to have to dispose of dissenters when they rear their ugly heads. Decisions are going to have to be made about a lot of things, and people are going to look to someone to be the leader. Even if you form a sort of council someone is going to have to lead. This breeds jealousy and envy within others, inherently.
As far as you saying this non-restricted speech calling people niggers and what not all willy-nilly, you’re asking for trouble son. There’s a reason people are polite and refrain (for the most part) from abrasive speech. It creates animosity and tension. You can’t have animosity and tension within a small group of people, especially if your goal is harmony, because people will voice their opinions, and most people are tolerant of opposing opinions…to a point. Then you get things like protests and riots. It’s inherent in EVERY society. That’s why a lot of people frown upon abrasive and offensive speech, it upsets the herd. And most people don’t want to have to deal with that, especially if you’re preaching living in harmony. Completely unrestrictive speech doesn’t coexist well with a harmonious environment. You either need people to be sensitive to others feelings or you need to have an efficient peace keeping body (po-po).
Ok, listen Tyler Durden, again, you’re going to have to have a strict immigration policy into your society as growing and hunting, thems shits is difficult. You can’t just go wander willy-nilly into the woods or desert and think you ain’t gonna have to plow some fields, cut down trees, build shelters, make tools to cultivate your crops, learn to track and hung animals EFFICIENTLY etc. etc. You’re also going to find a fresh water source and know how to disinfect that shit. If you don’t and have people all willy-nilly drinking from the river that potential has some incapacitating microbes in it, you better have some extensive knowledge of your surroundings and whip up some medicinal cure from the local flora or you’re going to have less workers to help with all the work that needs to be done JUST TO SUSTAIN A SIZEABLE COMMUNITY. Oh, and if you don’t, btw, everyone’s gonna BLAME YOU!

Jobs will be assigned based on merit. Fair enough. Who’s merit? What system are you going to put in place to decide who’s best for what job? Playoffs? Thunderdome? Standardized tests? What happens when you have two people who think they both deserve the same job but there’s only room for one? Who decides? Oh, and your idea that all crime will be punishable by death is a horrible incentive for workers. Who makes the laws? Who decides if these laws are just? What do you do if someone disagrees? Are they breaking a law?
You better get ready for a really inefficient work force. They’re all going to be too damn scared of breaking a law to be truly effective at their jobs.
Oh,and cool that you’re getting rid of all stereotypes. What do you do when other ones crop up? Do you kill the offenders?
