The FRENCH

The French politicians are just looking after their own interests, not France’s or the French people. There are millions of Arabs in France and if demographics changes continue France will be an Arab/Islamic country within a few decades. The politicians are just serving the own interests (i.e. get votes, keep high paid jobs even if it means killing their people and country).

Ditto for Germany (except the Turks take the place of Arabs) and most of the other countries of Europe.

bluey: never knew that, but it’s kind of ironic.

If you don’t get pbs, you can read the show’s transcripts at: PBS NewsHour: News, Analysis, Top Headlines, Live Coverage There is an outstanding interview with Powell. A must read.

stately plump mulligan,
There is no way to misinterpret the fact that saddam has murdered, invaded, harbored terrorists (did you catch the plo camp with the 1985 terrorist capture?), put pictures of the planes flying into the World Trade Centers, invaded his neighbors, and on and on. I don’t need a journalist to interpret these events for me. All the weenies out there who were against the war, I know you are secretly glad that the Good Guys (United States, Britain, Poland, Australia, etc…) took care of business. You’re welcome.
As for the French, here is the most powerful message I have heard. An 80 year old veteran of World War II, sent back the Legion of Honor awarded by france. He said he could no longer honor the medal. That says it all.

Ironic? I would have thought it was tragic at best.

Did you know that there are more Arabs in France than in Jordan? When you consider the demographics the actions of the French government make a lot more sense.

On any given day have a look at the Europe section of the BBC News website http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/default.stm and see what is going on in Europe past the PR of the EU and the Euro. Today I liked (warning sarcasm) France?s Islamic heartland BBC NEWS | Europe | France's Islamic heartland especially the bit about how the French Government is supporting a theological college for the training of Imams for France and the rest of the Continent in the hope of establishing a homegrown Islamic identity.
