I was wondering how long you were going to be quiet about that. I almost said something on there yesterday ![]()

Maybe it wasn’t the beer. Had a layover over night and got a hotel room. Spent the night familiarizing myself with the toilet. Between a car accident and the stomach flu, not having much luck. I’m hoping I can shed a few lbs with my current diet of water.
This was the best lesson I’ve learned going back to the gym for the 10th time. Fixing my relationship with food and using Jim Wendlers advice of eating 3 meals consisting of a lean protein, veg or fruit and carb has helped a ton. Changing my relationship to food I have been dropping a ton of fat and my lifts have been flying up.
Oh well, it will pass soon. I originally thought I had food poisoning. THAT is hell. I just think happy thoughts like punching socialists.
Eh? What’s going on? Which thread was this?
Just a newbie in the O35 looking for advice. Another newbie ( who joined 2 hrs previously) decided that Bulldog didn’t really know what he was talking about. I patiently waited for things to escalate but Bulldog took the high road. Damn it!
It shakes my soda, too. Eating too much to lose weight and not enough to build muscle just doesn’t strike me as a productive use of your time.
It’s right up there with the intermittent fasting approach to weight gain.
How many guys you know got big by fasting? Wouldn’t we be observing an obesity epidemic in starving populations?
But bro it gives like 40000% increase in growth hormone!
EDIT: I do love how they say it keeps you lean. No, it keeps you fucking small
I feel like I should clarify my thoughts on fasting before someone jumps down my throat:
I actually think it’s great in a lot of ways, but I feel you really need to earn it. Like, if you’re average height and weigh like 130lbs then that shit is not for you. Prove you can gain weight by adding like 40lbs and then you have earned the right to try more advanced techniques like fasting.
Until then your scrawny ass needs to eat.
And this is why we love Yogi!
Would that mean you had broken your fast?
I’m still waiting for any evidence, even n=1 that can be backed up with something measurable other than “I looked leaner and got stronger”.
Recomping may work for the untrained, under trained and chemically assisted, but it sure isn’t efficient and it is down right irresponsible to to advise it to someone in my opinion if they do not(even if they do) meet that criteria.
In regards to IF, still waiting for someone to explain to me how not eating helps you get into a calorie surplus. @Yogi1 it does neither, it keeps you hungry. When I was a kid we just called it skipping breakfast and it was the nutritional equivalent of heresy for sports.
I agree with you. To me it is the same as a lot of crap in fitness/dieting. Something that may have a benefit in a particular situation, but is mass applied due to most people not wanting to accept that being fit/healthy is not complicated, it is just not easy.
Consistency multiplied by time equals a result, albeit bad or good. All of this fluff out there is just to appease people or sell something. Tracking and manipulating calorie expenditure and correct macro nutrient amounts is not sexy and doesn’t sell.
Lazy, fat, dumb and small people will always look to the advanced, the evangelical and the down right idiotic in order to avoid the simple yet difficult.
My last rant of the day. Just heard on the radio that the Clemson kid who tested positive for Ostarine is claiming not only ignorance, but that it must have came from, get this, either a sports drink or a hair gel…
Yes, a research chemical, banned for human consumption, readily available through purchase online, used primarily as an alternative for performance enhancement, needs to be taken daily through a condensed oral solution with a 24 hour half life was found in your hair gel…
Geez, how much hair gel was that kid drinking a day?!
Oh …I just didn’t agree with everything he said. But I found the whole thing suspicious… So I decided it wasn’t worth it.
Nothing worth talking about…
It used to be mandatory, including pics.
For some reason I can’t bring myself to read the over 35 forum. I think it’s because I refuse to admit to myself that I’m over 35…
