Jesus Christ flap…that is absolutely awful. Kids get me straight in the feels…

Not that I ever was okay with hearing about children getting hurt, but since becoming a dad every time I hear about something bad happening to kids, my mind automatically makes me imagine it happening to my kids, and it rips my heart out of my chest.

…I want to acknowledge that I read and appreciated that comment, but somehow a “like” doesn’t quite feel appropriate here.

Well got my wife on board regarding buying a decent Airdyne bike.

I’m becoming oddly fascinated by all the different cardio machines. Versa climbers, Jacobs ladder, airdynes and manual treadmills. I’ve even thought abought using one lol.

Jacobs ladder fooled the hell out of me the first time I tried one.

The ski ergometer thing too.

I have 3 days left to work this year. Then get the first week off next year!

And I can’t wait to deliver pain to the students whose grades suck (because they just won’t do the work I ask them to do), or have missed too much school.

For every percentage point below 100, students must do 10 burpees. If you fail, you’re doing 400 burpees and you don’t get to leave for vacation until you complete them. Don’t think about it, just implement it.

Why reward the failures with the gift of getting stronger?

They either get strong or repeat my class it’s a win win

I’m currently scrolling through web archives of 2007-era Elitefts. Holy shit, everything was so much simpler 10 years ago. I’m nostalgic for something I am too young to remember. I also feel that I arrived in the game 10 years too late.

Let me let you onto something… Most of the articles you read regarding some NEW ground breaking approach or method, are not. They are nothing more than a repackaged or re tweaked version of something that came before hand.

And nowhere is this more prevalent than on Instagram.

10 years ago in lifting was like, worse than the Dark Ages. For some reason, everyone decided to turn their backs on the knowledge and techniques learned until that time.

Things were so bad that the charlatan Ripplestiltskin arose, and was praised like an authority. Training and knowledge moved backwards.

It’s only now, 10+ years later that the lifting community is re-learning what everyone used to know like 20-30-40-50 years ago.

Pretty much… a year or so ago I saw a article somewhere regarding a exercise which the author acted as if it was all ground breaking. It was something I saw guys doing back 30 years ago.
