I realized I read this comment but never actually replied to it. I don’t have a lot of squat videos in the log, and genuinely wouldn’t advocate my squat style to many.

This was one of the more recent videos I had on it, which is a few years old

I looked at the intermediate program. Week 5-6 you’re supposed to do 8 sets of 12 at 80% of your 1RM. What’s the trick? Breathing squats kind of set? This seems really dangerous on powercleans, you’re bound to have a sloppy form

The trick is it’s a typo and it’s supposed to be 10rm like the rest of the program.

Also, 8x12 would not work for that week: you’d be 4 reps short.

Hmmmmmmm I might be tempted to dive in! I looked at the standards. They are high! I’m on the Shallow end for squat and press, Beyond the break on cleans and I might be Deep water on DL. Nice goals to set!

Yeah, I liked that part of the book. Gave some perspective. I edited my comment, but make sure you’re actually getting the full 100 reps that week.

And give the workouts a look the week before, because there’s a few other instances where something screwy happens like that. I think the intermediate had it that week 4 was deadlifts and then week 5 was deadlifts, or something like that.

Yes indeed but I was too lazy to write sets of 12-13 ahah. Okay, still seems reaaaaaaally tough but at least doable!

I have a mushroom problem- The salad bar started stocking mushrooms and I’ve had at least 20 cups in the past 4 days ( I don’t count veggies)

Raw white ones? Meh.

We’ll have to put all of that conditioning to work this spring.

Probably more for the “where you live” thread, but there is a pretty good variety available locally if you know where/when to look. Certain seasons like morel (late April-mid may) become like a foot race through the woods.

I’ve been at it for about 20 years.

This was a while back. Big sheep’s head and chicken of the woods.
