I see what you did there ![]()
My other go to is that hearing aids is something you get from phone sex.
Sadly, seems like only @ChickenLittle got amused by Annarexia. To think that I was so proud of myself for that
I thought it was a typo, to be honest. I’m now disappointed in myself.
It’s called “being bloody knackered”.
If I train too hard for too long I’ll have trouble sleeping.
Or if I do an extra intense or long workout I’ll have trouble sleeping that night.
Is there any connection between too much work and problems with sleep for you? Maybe you could work up a plan to lighten your lifting workload on your call weeks so you don’t get so run down?
If I lift in the evening it jacks me up and I won’t sleep for shit.
Nope. Lifting doesn’t change it. I’ve had this long before I lifted. I probably have sleep apnea or something. I’m not gonna get tested though. Starting Jan 1. I’ll be dropping a ton of weight, that should help for sure.
Last night I had a pretty weird dream. T-nation had a big meet up in my city. Everybody was there and @Chris_Colucci was giving a speech to the people there. I was running around with a confused look on my face trying to see if I would bump into someone I knew from the forums, and wondering why everybody was suddenly speaking Italian.
I confess I’m worried you’re dreaming about me dude.
Although my actual confession is I’m just wasting time before my next set of squats in the hope armaggeddon comes and I don’t have to do them.
WOW! was I in it?? ![]()
I’ve had weirder dreams:
Two nights ago, I had a dream where I “woke up” in another dream. In that dream, some pretty bad stuff happened, so I “went back to sleep” assuming it was a dream and “woke up” again only to “find out” it wasn’t a dream. Then I woke up for real. some serious inception shit
Unfortunately, I can’t recall seeing any of you guys in the dream. There was just a bunch of people. The only one I can remember is Chris, because he was giving a speech in front of a mic to the t nation people.
I recall having had pretty weird dreams, including some lucid dreams that were pretty awesome.
One of the weirdest one I recall having, and waking up completely terrified from, is one I had at least 6 years ago. I was in a park with some friends doing something. I can’t remember the details, I just remember that for some reason a picked up a flower. I was looking at it.
And then he barked at me. very loudly.
I woke up on the spot and felt like I was having a heart attack. That has to be weird haha.
Can you taste stuff in your dreams?
Not really.
Most of my dreams aren’t very vivid. I never remember looking directly at people’s face in dreams, but rather just knowing who they are, and I’m pretty sure I don’t “hear” their voices but rather perceive what they say like when you’re thinking and hearing your inner voice.
I call this state and feeling “introvert dreaming.”
No memory of smell, taste, or touch that I can think of.
I think my biggest problem with the “cater your programming to what you like best or what feels best” mentality that I see some coaches doing or people advocating for, is that my best progress comes from doing shit that is just miserable on every level, from start to finish. That’s why I get confused when people show up saying “I feel burnt out and I don’t want to do the workout”, and when I’m making serious progress, that’s how I feel about all my workouts.
I’m absolutely the same. I think it boils down to the majority of people being either prepared to trade more progress for enjoyable training; or being unwilling to admit that they don’t have the intestinal fortitude to endure discomfort.
You feel burnt out and don’t want to train? Fuck off then, while I feel burnt out and dont want to train and train anyway and leave you standing there wondering why you aren’t progressing.
I tell my wife this then 2 mins after getting in bed I am asleep with my mouth open catching flys and sounding like a monster truck !!
It would have been even cooler if everyone was speaking Italian but got dubbed in English like those old giallo movies.
In their underwear?
I reckon Icould fall asleep at the gym in the middle of the day after a hard session lol.
