The Flame-Free Confession Thread II

I feel that the time has come that the training world finally leave integer and fractions behind and finally embrace the irrational numbers. What you want, is a tau number of repetitions.

You pretty much got me there. I’m going to write an article about this and not attribute it to you.

It’s at this point that I’m going to hopscotch over to the “that’s little man talk, proof is in the pudding” side because I don’t know what you said.

Pffff. Old man whatdoyacallhim was sayin’ pretty much this, like, waaaay back when. You young whippersnappers think you invented liftin’…

Oh man, that…that…that’s just really bad…

It’s not as simple as you’re making it out to be. Are we talking about 3/4 of the ROM of the exercise or 3/4 of the active range of the muscle? If you’re doing 3/4 reps of 3/4 of the muscle’s range, that’s 3/8 of a rep.

Are we gonna consider if you’re biasing one group vs another? That’s where imaginary numbers would come into play. You’re doing 6 + 5i reps for your upper back, but only 6 + 2i reps for your lats. That’s why your back ain’t wide, man.

That’s why you do supersets for the compounded benefits, then you raise the benefits by a power and are back to using real numbers.

Also remember, if you wait more than 15 secs between exercises of a superset, then it’s not a superset. Source: another author here lol

Not really…

Anyway, the pain now goes away and comes back periodically every few hours. It’s more of a “getting punched in the gut” kinda pain than a normal belly pain. It comes back as soon as I eat anything at all.

It’s still pretty bad.

I’ve only ever had labs. Every dog is a little different but in my experience a lab is just a good natured dog. The only down side is they are easily excitable and like to jump and put their face right up to you. So with very small children they could be a little too much to handle but if they are I bit older I highly recommend labradors. Only get a dog like this if you have two hours at least per day you can take them out and let them run off
leash or you can give them two legit walks.

So basically you skipped leg day

I wish people educated themselves more before they got a dog and was less subjective in their selection.

For instance, certain breeds have a period of fluidity in their early years with regards to whom is welcome within their perceived territory but after that period has passed anyone new moving into say an adjacent apartment might be perceived as an intruder - depending of course on if the dog perceives that space as part of its territory.

So it’s holiday shopping season and I confess that I completely forgot about my dad

Maybe it’s the parent in me. But have always thought it’s a really bad practice for young teens to post physique pics on here.
