The Flame-Free Confession Thread II

Well, he first ripped on Brad Schoenfeld (who he eventually had on his podcast and was nice to), then he said Fat Greg a million times until Greg Nuckols showed up and he changed his tune quick, and then he was doing the Podcast with Alan and Scott, and the podcast gets discontinued and he’s immediately in a thread calling Scott OCD and a micromanager, and then he makes little comments about CTs stuff all the time, it just seems like he’s not up for a discussion ever, just to show that everyone’s wrong. And I agree with a lot of what he says with regards to training but it always gets awkward when he starts insulting people who aren’t there to defend themselves, because when they ARE there he’s a completely different person. I dunno.

Hell Paul several years ago blasted on CT on his site and a Pod cast…I was shocked when they wrote a book together in the first place.

Not sure what thread you brought up… could someone post a link or thread tittle?

Now you know how 90% of the members of this sight feel when you post your vague comments and we (mainly I ) are lost! :joy::joy:

I believe the term your looking for is two faced maybe?

I get the impression that he’s busting CTs balls a little?

This is one reason I’m trying to hold my opinions back.

I don’t disagree with most of his ideas on training, I’m quite confident he’s much better at it than me, but I won’t be spending any more of my money on his stuff.

Are there certain professional/trade specific ball busting criteria?

Like if you have a rapport of that nature it’s not out of bounds, but if it’s just an out of the blue, one sided public trouncing- It might not go over too well.

“Since Thibs simply took our convo and decided to write articles and make himself look smart with it, I’ll expound (since he really didn’t read any further as to why all of this ends up being 5 reps).”

That’s only part of the post.

I’d just like for that dude to stop making so many threads.

That dude is a total jackass, and often makes threads asking the same question in both PC and CTs forums. He also just said “I disagree” to my three points, 1 of which was rhetorical, another of which was irrefutable, and the last of which is obvious. Both coaches have some weird fanboys though - that believer guy who got upset when someone used CTs first name, and the nicki guy who said PCs exercise suggestion just gave him his first quad DOMS. Cmon dude, when I was first lifting, any sort of half assed leg day was quad death. Who has NEVER had QUAD soreness? I know people who say they’ve never had side or rear delt DOMS, or stuff like that, but quads? You’re either lying, or you have never worked hard at a leg day ever, irrespective of if you knew what you were doing or not.

Haha man I saw that, pretty funny.

I’ve typed out and decided to trash plenty of snarky questions asking how much of the info he’s gotten he’s actually been able to put to use and measure.

Nice to see you and @flappinit stick it to the man. Although I know it won’t change anything, still, it’s nice to see. Lol

It’s just weird. I just spent months with a bunch of great exercise physiologists and whatnot with all of the good letters and degrees. They were generally very happy, helpful and well balanced people. I even know or have met a few real industry pros that have actual professional sports team cred. Nice folks all the way around.

They don’t act like that. None of them.

Well yeah, regardless of profession or job, you’ll always have some really really nice people, and some really not so nice people. Internet persona can be different, so I just hope he’s better in person.

I didn’t stick anything to anybody, I kind of just backed out of the thread, haha

@skyzyks on the other hand stuck it pretty hard to the man, and hilarity ensued
