She told me I am not allowed to have another surgery for at LEAST 5 years.
Sounds like she has the same attitude as mine…
The last month has shown me I’m built for only low bar squats.
High bar pauses bug my right knee and sometimes back. Front squats bug my left SI joint and sometimes right knee.
At my peak volume I managed 6x12 on low bar last year, that should have been the first sign to stick with it but gave the others a try just to see what would happen. Back to cheat squats for me!
For me it’s trap bar deadlift, and sumo deadlifts. But I’ll try sumo again for several weeks and see
I have literally never done a high bar squat in my life. I am pretty certain I can’t do one at this point.
Took me 5 years after the knees surgeries to have enough mobility etc to do them correctly without bendind forward like an idiot and being all back
I confess that I don’t really know if what I do is high bar or low bar, but after trying to force myself to squat like Mark Rippetoe would like and the way a Chinese weightlifter would like, I have (almost) found the way that I like.
Started cramping up before even getting back to the equipment lot. Had to sit there in my car for five minutes to figure out if I could drive home or not.
If I hang in there I’ll be in pretty good shape. Now to replenish, rest- and do it again.
I confess I’ve never done low bar
Whether I put the bar up on my traps or below my delts I basically look the same when I squat.
Pretty sure my front squat looks like my squat
Best to stay away from bad influences that way.
Van Ripplestiltskin is watching.
The ground.
Six feet in front.
I can’t low bar squat in my basement because I’m only about 3 feet from the wall.
I took a spin class…and enjoyed it
Good for you.
I teach spin which is crazy considering I hated it for years
The more I squat, the more I eat.
The more I eat, the more I need to sit on the toilet.
The more I sit on the toilet, the more I wish I didn’t squat !!!
I don’t get the whole my legs get too big mentality. Now that I have things half way healthy and can really push things. I’m happy as helI that my work pants are getting tight in the legs again.
