The Flame-Free Confession Thread II

@punnyguy, I took a risk with that post but it’s only because I care about helping people.

Anna, I beat myself up a lot about my physique. I won’t compare it to undereating, but they’re in the same ballpark in terms of misjudging what we see in the mirror.

You have a small frame and low bodyweight. I actually wouldn’t be prompted to say anything to you about it based on that pic alone. But the combination of things you’ve shared are cause for concern.

You gotta make some changes.

Edit: I’m only concerned about your out of whack hormones. I want you see you be healthy all around. I don’t believe in an ideal body weight, but your body sends signals when it’s unhappy.

I think this year’s pic looks better than last year’s.

Last year, you were severely underweight for a healthy female. And anyone who saw that pic should’ve told you that.

I am glad to see that you are at least making progress.

Eat more, guarantee you will get stronger, very high probability that you will be healthier.

And just to inject some levity…

When I say eat more, I don’t mean more of that weird esoteric Chinese crap -that’s not food, that’s the Communists brainwashing you into believing that shit is food while they’re eating a Tomahawk (giant ribeye steak on the bone).

And I’m a guy who likes those rotten eggs buried in heavy metal infused clay.

No wonder all your hormones are whacked. Also, are those incision scars?

You look great Anna.

Love you some of you,

I don’t think you’ve gotten any “fatter”. Still have great vascularity and abs look bigger to me.

I think I’ve alluded to my opinion before, even if I haven’t come outright and said it. I don’t think the way you eat is helpful to your goals inside or outside of the gym.

Your mind can tell you all sorts of lies when you look in the mirror, as plenty on this site can attest to. This counts double when you’re recovering from surgery.

I believe I’ve also expressed concern. From what I can tell, Anna occasionally has a significant binge, but A) it is always well-controlled in terms of food choice, and B) I think this is the exception rather than the rule. As someone who works with eating disorders, I’d also be curious about purging after these feasts.

You look muscular and slightly underweight, Anna, and I agree that the recent pic looks better than last year’s.

I promise I don’t purge

Yeah, I had a pyeloplasty in April, which is why I still can’t deadlift

They can have their ribeye. I’ll take the tendon/brains/organs over that any day.

I see it as a mutualistic relationship. They get their expensive “prime” cuts and I get the nutrient dense “disgusting” bits. I actually like the taste of odd parts better tbh

Got that right. Liver is so underrated it’s not even funny. Great taste AND like a months supply of vitamins per portion.

Nothing quite as satisfying as eating the tendons and cartilage off of a roast chicken carcass either.

Do you prepare liver any certain way? I’ve had it a few times and found it disgusting, but I know how healthy it is and wouldn’t mind a way to prepare that I enjoy.

For me its oil, salt and pan fry.

Works for lamb, beef and chicken liver. Nothing works for pigs liver, that’s just not particularly pleasant.

I believe instead of purging after one of these feasts, Anna freaks out, goes to the gym and beats the hell out of herself until she is sure she has burned every last calorie off. All the while rationalizing that this is getting her closer to her goal, which in all reality is driving it away. A vicious circle to say the least. I think she really needs to find balance here. She needs to learn how to eat and train in moderation to reach her goals. Stop all this crazy bullshit, hunker down and get the job done. IF she is actually serous about pulling 4x her body weight, she is going to have to start acting like it!

I like my liver with some fava beans and a nice chianti.

Funny, that’s how I like your liver too!

My dad used to make aa goose liver pate, not an actual foi gras, but still really good.

Also, regular beef liver and onions with ketchup.

I find actual liver 10x better than foie. Foie has no flavour, like biting into a stick of butter

What’s the problem?

I actually love chicken livers - dip in flour and pan fry in butter. And, they are cheap AF.
