At least it’s somewhat acceptable for your to be an asshole on occasion. People expect me to be sweet and affable… boy are they in for a nasty surprise
So you’re a stealth asshole?
I’m sort of that way, too. I look much nicer and more appropriate than I am.
yep!
I will say the more I hear as things start to come out the more one of my eye brows raise.
Let’s just say allot around here feel there is more to it. Which the national sports media is not talking about.
Well this was an awful personal attack! ![]()
Well it wasn’t directed at a specific person.
Well I am taking it absolutely personally haha
Well I guess my job here is done ![]()
More to it as in what? Haven’t seen or heard anything, but I’d be interested to know what else is going on there.
There are several at the moment . One that has people worked up is that luck actually expressed wanting to retire way before a week ago. Organization kept it hushed due to season ticket sales.
It would make sense that they discussed it prior to this weekend. Luck has too much class to just walk off the field and call it a career unexpectedly.
Oh yeah, that’s exactly what I heard. I’m a Jets/Knicks/Mets fan so I just assume all organizations are trash like mine. It’s not true, of course, but I’ve never known what it’s like to have a good office behind my team.
Lol, thanks man! Positivity helps everyone involved. Being negative doesn’t do anything. I was a lost case once too when it came to lifting so I have a soft spot for beginners that are lost as well lol.
Well the villagers are close to storming the castle.
Andrew Luck - got tired of a shitty owner letting an employee do all the work. The kid was magic with no surrounding talent. I think @bulldog9899 mentioned it before - total lack of offensive line and he got the shit kicked out of him.
I actually thought he wouldn’t come back, let Indy release him, and then sign with another team, like Denver where former Stanford QB Elway is the GM.
I also think he comes back, after Indy loses his rights or whatever - I’m not that familiar with NFL rights, so I might be talking out of my ass.
However, and I am sure this is one of the things on Talk Radio going on, I wouldn’t be surprised if he went into the family business, XFL.
Kid was a generational talent and Irsay used him up.
Tragedy.
From Rotoworld:
The Colts could have recouped $24.8 million from Luck—a prorated $12.8 million from his signing bonus and another $12 million in roster bonuses—but instead the team is letting him keep it all. ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports the settlement was reached last week, suggesting the Colts have known Luck was retiring for some time. It’s a nice gesture by the Colts and one that wasn’t afforded to Calvin Johnson and Barry Sanders when they retired early. Luck is leaving $58.1 million in salary on the table by calling it quits, but said injuries had taken the joy out of playing.
Imo NFL teams do not play “nice”. Luck is still only 29. I think the Colts are hoping that juuuust in case he changes his mind in a year or two…paying him that $24.8 million when they didn’t have to might be the gesture that brings Luck back into the fold.
edit to add: with what marginal QBs like Flacco and Cousins et al make these days, $24.8 million is literally peanuts for a guy like Luck
Me: “Assholes have taken the joy out of working here”
Boss: “I’m sorry to hear that…”
Me: “I’d like 24 million in signing and payroll bonuses”
Boss: “Learn to throw a football and we’ll talk”
Learn to throw a football WELL and we’ll talk. That’s the $25 million little nugget.
