“Abs is not a sign of power, it’s just a sign you don’t eat enough.”

Really happy to see you making progress dude. You’re heading in a great direction.

I choose to interpret this as a lack of abs is always a sign of power.

Side note: interesting comment as JF has always been pretty lean prior to this year.

Also: JF is a very underrated Strongman.

I confess that I can’t stop laughing at the image I’m greeted with when I open up the pdf for the Deep Water Badass program

And that I think I may have accidentally recorded a snuff film in my garage during my testing of my trap bar

@T3hPwnisher thank you! it’s good to be feeling mostly better, gaining weight, and setting PRs again.

@littlesleeper that is the motto i live by, haha.

Confession following the now infamous Joe Rogan podcast with OB- I think OB is much better for strongman than he is at strongman.

I also enjoyed reading Dimitar’s rant about it probably a little more than I should have.

I’m finally quitting dipping tobacco.
I’d rather be doing cardio.

Which is quite a statement for a guy who competes at the World level, haha.

True statement. I’m not taking anything away from the guy. No matter what some want to say about his invitation being political, he has made it to the finals so he’s straight legit. I think he’s just such a big personality that he’s more likely to leave a mark because of who he is more than what he does.

You can do it! I quit cold turkey on 4/11/11.

I confess that the only reason I have agreed so readily to a business trip that has me travelling on a Sunday is because there’s a legit strongman/powerlifting gym 1.5 miles from the office and I get to play with their log and stones. No innuendo intended.

That’s cool and all, but he is trying to quit dip.

I’ve rationed myself down to about a can every 4 days. My little boy turns 4 in August and I will be tobacco free on his birthday. In the meantime… very controlled dosing and increasing discipline.

The last time I quit (stayed quit for like 3 years… I was a moron to ever pick it back up), I went into overdrive on self-discipline and lost 60-lbs. Looking forward to what I can do this time.

Put a log post in here not paying attention.

In other news, I think I saw Scot Mendelson in a bidet commercial a friend shared on Facebook.

Rule number 1. Never play with another mans stones !!!

Wow, those are hard. Log more for the technique, stones more for the brutalness; felt like I was going to pass out after every stone lift. Lifted less than I thought I would on the former and more on the latter. Didn’t tear a bicep or break my leg so a win all in all. Will be fun to see what I can do when I actually have some technique and don’t just muscle the cunts up.

Pro tip: get some strong weed for when you’re craving it heavily. Good luck!
