The Flame-Free Confession Thread II

I actually ordered a can of mac and cheese as well, I wanted to see what they were like as they aren’t really a thing here (not in the way they are in other countries at least).

I added those two canned things to the order I made but basically I shopped on that website because of these

I hadn’t been able to find bagels or English muffins here un Italy and I really wanted to try them. They are great!

Also since we’re talking about this I’ll ask you about something that I saw on that website that I haven’t figured out—in the tinned desserts section, I spotted a thing called “macaroni pudding,” is it actually pudding made of pasta? I have heard of rice pudding, but pasta pudding? Really? If that’s the case, there’s a part of me in the back of my mind that definitely wants to try that out lol

Also another question: we don’t really have such a thing as canned baked beans here. Are they just what they sound? Beans that were baked and put in a can?

You have obviously never had a bagel in New York - they will ruin you.

I wish I had been to NYC in the first place lol… But, why so?

The water. It makes great bagels and pizza dough.

Many don’t know this but the NYC water is drawn from upstate on the Hudson and requires little to no treatment. something about the minerals in the water makes great bagels and pizza dough.

It’s the hint of Jimmy Hoffa that does it.

I hate references that I can’t get : (

In fairness, no one can get Jimmy Hoffa.

OR SO HE THOUGHT.

I like to take a big can of Beefaroni on overnight hiking trips. It’s not good food, but packs a decent amount of calories and is palatable cold.

Okay this actually made me laugh despite the fact that I didn’t get it either lol

If anything in this life is certain, if history has taught us anything, it’s that you can kill anyone.

Like, instead of “you complete me”, it’s “you end others”

Hoffa is in the Meadowlands, not the Hudson.

I gotta guy.

Yes, but for some it would be a cure for the sickness we call life.

Just saying.

Worth it!

Maybe it’s like kugel but with macaroni instead of egg noodles?

Sounds like Pastichio.
