The Flame-Free Confession Thread II

Check out last few posts in “the stupid thread”. I don’t think it’s proper to link political threads here.

South, it went south.

The older I get, the more I realize this is how the Universe works.

Extremism sells and costs money to buy, oh, and also works really, really fast. The middle ground is free, but is a lifetime of effort.

It could be going better lol

Was that Benni Magnusson? He comes up with gems like that all the time.

Not if you like popcorn.

It’s too bad strangers on the internet can’t interpret voice inflection, tone, and the true meaning of one’s words when they’re just written on a screen.

He definitely laid out one hell of an interpretation, though.

What’s your interpretation of The Mighty Stu’s post?

Whenever I get bored and wander off to the latest threads on the forum instead of sticking to the training logs and sections I usually follow, I am reminded of how dumb some people are. It makes me wonder how this industry ever flourished, I mean what did all these stupid people do before the internet, I am pretty sure they didn’t go to the gym. Maybe its flourishing now because all those people are buying equipment, supplements and gym memberships yet still asking questions so basic my 6 yr old son could answer them!!.
Sorry for the outburst I’ll get back in my box now!!

Why is Michael Jackson not in that thread yet?

I think it’s pretty clear where people are coming from now, to be honest.

His initial post seemed to be challenging Paul. He even cited his sources (Dorian). I also thought his preface was odd. He asked Paul to be respectful of his post before he got into the meat of his statement/question.

That could be interpreted as 1) You may not know me, but I’m kind of a big deal or 2) One of those “With all due respect” statements that comes right before an insult.

I don’t have a dog in the fight, but I can see how Paul reacted poorly. He speaks with hundreds of us anonymous posters daily and his response and interpretation of Stu was based on prior experiences.

I did a quick search of circa 2008 posts to see if there might have been something put up by the new World’s Strongest Man.

Deep down I wanted to see him arguing for squatting 18 times per week and building a base of strength through squats and benching only.

My husband thinks 2n1 shampoo/conditioners, are actually mixtures of typical conditioners and shampoos. Ha. Laughable.

Link?

So I did some internet searching and looked back at the exchange. Stu is calling BS at Paul’s claim of his natty size and body fat earlier in his career.

Paul’s most recent response (last five minutes) seems to be defending his stance, but it’s on a weak foundation.

The argument seems to be pivoting on whether people can be 200+ on the stage without drugs. I’m probably in agreement with Stu on this one.

As the picture grows, it actually makes Stu’s opening comments seem more challenging/adversarial. He’s questioning Paul’s claims on his own achievements and that rarely goes well.

It’s in Paul’s section. Start with post 871.

Ok thanks

Have not read the posts as of yet. Probably the first time on line Mr Carter is in a debate with someone who has a resume equal or better then his.
