Speaking of cookies, my wife brings home these vegan chocolate chip cookies from Whole Foods. They are amazing!

Well I was planning on having a salad for lunch, but a cookie salad sounds more delicious now!

Reminds me of when Lyle McDonald went after him back in the day. I miss the old off the rails bipolar Lyle…

Didnt Paul Carter duke it out with him too over some steroid comments?

Wait they have these? / Black or regular membership?

Black membership. Unlimited massage chair, Hydro massage, and some “total body enhancement” red light therapy which looks like total bullshit to me (supposed to penetrate your fat cells or some bs). Tanning beds too if that’s your thing.

For $5/more than the base, no contract membership it was a no brainer.

I firmly believe that, if one chooses to work in healthcare, be it as a pharmacist, doctor, allied health professional, chiro, nurse or any of the like, they should be unable to work unless they are fit and healthy.

In all honesty, doctors, physios, and chiros tend to be okay but I truly feel that it is irresponsible to be in some of these roles, dealing with patients’ impacts of obesity and a sedentary lifestyles, whilst mimicing the same behaviours.

How should the HC industry define “fit”? I don’t know, but the unfortunate truth is they’d probably do it stupidly.

Still applies, but they have a pass to train like pussies

Why? They’re there to do a job, and their employment is competency based, as are other jobs, not dependent on personal health or fitness.

Welll… I know this much. OK old Jim Wendler for yearsss has always hated on things like Hip thrust. Way before they have suddenly become the newest and greatest thing that you can do to be a man. Well Bret heard about it and took it personally and I guess started bashing Jim online.

Jim was asked his opinion about it in a Q&A on a pod cast.

A valid point, but in general I feel it sets a bad example. You’ve got to walk the walk.

Also, particularly in the case of nurses and chiros, I can think of numerous scenarios where physical fitness is a bonus.

I will listen to it.

Its short

This needs a “What I think I look like vs What I actually look like” meme but I can’t be assed lol

That doesn’t really answer whether you have used, or intend to use, this therapy.

Confession: I just realized I’ve been doing 1RM attempts for the last couple weeks. My excuse was technique work but I’m 3 months out from my next comp, heavy weights can wait. After this week, I’ll stop being a bro and fix it.

On the bright side though, being a bro let me hit a 130lb circus dumbbell, same weight I zeroed in my first comp less than a year ago.
