The Flame-Free Confession Thread II

At least you guys have such a thing as grilled cheese.

Try that in Italy :frowning:

Gotta love the internet were someone has zero on very little hands or experience. But can act like a authority on the subject because they have read or watched allot of videos regarding it.

My wife is from a weird little town where they apparently call it “toasted cheese.” Different, but still completely inaccurate.

You could try to cram it on the toaster but I’m guessing that isn’t going to end well.

Unless…there are toaster ovens. They’re like mini ovens but they work like a toaster.

OK. I just searched for a picture of a toaster oven with a grilled cheese sandwich in it for a visual example and it turns out that people are putting their regular toaster on its side and making grilled cheese that way. :exploding_head:

You haven’t been a real bachelor in America if you haven’t at least one time made a grilled cheese sandwich using a clothes iron or some other improvised heat source…

We called it toasted cheese in my little western PA town.

I discovered that Home Improvement reruns are aired on some of our antenna TV and the reminds me of the construction crew. Did he make kabobs with the oil dipstick too?

Truthfully I have no idea what he did when I wasn’t there. Maybe! Apparently it’s hard to get a good grilled cheese in prison.
I just worked there part time, came in one morning and he was making sammiches…:joy::joy::joy:

At a big fabrication shop I worked at a couple of guys had an entire cooking set designed to use on those cannister type heaters.

They’d do grilled cheese, Italian hoagies, and steak&cheese along with foil packs of potato hash.

Back in uk we would call that a toasted cheese sarni or a cheese toasty. Down here they it a ‘cheese jaffle’!!!

Confession: I’m starting to think in lbs rather than kgs.

I do NOT like this.

Same here.

Measuring height in feet and inches is for short people to sound like they’re taller. There’s quite a bit of difference when you see someone who’s 1.74m standing next to someone who’s 1.77m tall.
