English is a Germanic language so maybe you should. Just as you should consider Latin since many English words have Latin roots. And you call yourself a scientist. You can’t even comprehend how research works. Go Google etymology.
Etymology shows were the word developed through earlier languages and what it meant in those languages. It is not the English definition of the word in English.
My standard is always the English dictionary, and I lean strongly to the Noah Webster 1828 Dictionary.
I don’t care if there are 100 genders, men who claim to be women do not belong in a womans prison (there has been a case of rape twice), in a high school ladies room (another case of two rapes), college womans locker room (exposing his junk to to his female team mates), there have been reports of men dressed like women following ladles in a public restroom
you all want keep burying your head in the sand until it happens to your mother, wife, sister or daughter…sick
That’s shifting the goalposts as my initial response on this matter was to point out that grammatically, there are more than two genders in many languages. I also pointed out that English has three gendered pronouns: he, she and it.
I can as I have a book written prior to WW2 for German speakers who are learning Italian. You can also Google grammar books and find this information online.
And again, I referred to other languages initially so if you wanted to only talk about English, you should have just said nothing as I didn’t say English had three genders. Grammatically, English pretty much has none.
Interestingly, you mentioned how Latin has three genders yet you only, according to you, talk about English. It’s amazing how you agreed with me from the start and somehow managed to contradict yourself to disagree with me.
There are already public bathrooms that cater to male or female, its a single toilet with a sink, i have seen them and have used them…they are not labeled as gender specific
As long as trans people have to use the gender neutral bathroom, I see no problem with it. Because if transwomen still use the women’s bathroom, it’s still going to lead to issues.
It’s weird that this is controversial to say now, but things like separate bathrooms were made to protect biological women from possible creepy/violent biological men. We are the danger here. A biological man in the same bathroom as a young girl, regardless of their gender expression, will innately bother the vast majority of people.
When I mentioned Latin it was addressing the question of whether other languages had three genders. I did say three “genders.”
I told you I seek truth. What you didn’t consider was that I didn’t investigate the meaning of “neuter” until shortly after this moment. Once I saw the English meaning of “neuter” my integrity forced me to reconsider my understanding of the meaning of “neuter.”
Had I not looked up the English meaning of “neuter” we would have strongly agreed. You do know we have a little confrontational history, which drove some of my intensity. Maybe I got too far into the minutia, but I have a detail oriented mind (all mathematics thinking. I hate grey areas, though statistics has helped me accept the probability of uncertainty. I will say I struggled mightily learning quantum mechanics, a part of Atomic Physics course, in college. That is probably why I know so little about it today. I just memorized it all and didn’t learn any of it.)
This is about a close as I can get to an apology. But I do see how you got confused, since you were unaware that I found new information and I failed to inform you. So, sorry.
