Just hit 30 with my imperial. The transformers soundtrack somehow fits for me during gameplay!
RSGZ wrote:
So, are you joining the Imperials or the Stormcloaks?
I joined the imperials with my Argonian because the storm cloaks are a bunch of racist bastards. But because I wanted to see the storm cloak side of things I made an imperial and had him join the storm cloaks.
I never thought of it that way.
I’m almost level 36, got my two-handed 5/5 on the first one, doing double damage so my Daedric Warhammer is dishing out 157 damage per hit.
3 mammoths and 2 giants? No problem.

me = level 33 dark elf with 100smith (through smithing iron daggs, hide helms, hide gauntlets), 100 speech through this glitch they have in the game, 70 1 hand and 30 destruction.
dark elf = pwnage against any fire dragon. i can stand right there when they’re breathing fire at me and hardly get damaged! very helpful early on in the game. lvled up some destruction for the range atttack.
wearing legendary dragonscale set, except for the body armor which is a glass armor set which has +60 health that i found raiding a cosair cave. upgraded it to legendary so its pretty neat. trying to get my enchanting up so i can + health for every single piece of armor i have. gonna be a fucking tank.
*giants are pretty easy solo kills once you get the frost flesh(?) shout which freezes your opponent. if you have a decent weapon with decent attack damage, you should be able to take off at least half his life even before he gets up. with a good weapon, he DOESN’T get up. ![]()

And the HDR test 2 (from the improved shaders guy) improves the game’s graphics by 3 billion percent. Though occasionally, Nords with their pale skin will blind the fuck out of you if the sun comes in from an unlucky angle hahaha.

So much win there. Lucky man CC

Shit, how much time have you clocked in?
I have 4/5 for my two handed and am using enchanted skyforge steel war axes double wielding … my sneaks respectable too, but I’m in the process of trying to get my pick pocket up.

I’m not sure, but must be over 30 hours already, at least.

The ice form thing is the best shout imo. If you angle it right you can hit 4 or 5 guys at once.
I don’t want to level up my smithing like that though, feels like cheating. I’m level 31 running around in unupgraded Steel armor because a) it looks cool b) the game is already too easy on Master difficulty.
Does nobody else find the game absurdly easy? I want a little bit of a challenge, I don’t want to be able to 1 shot everything. I wish there were more difficulty options.
The best way to learn more about Alchemy is to take two ingredients that actually do something together and systematically try out what you have lying around as a third.
That way, you cover a lot of bases ingredient wise, 6 instead of 3 to be exact and you still end up with something to sell if it does not work which it probably wont.
Protip: Do not marry a companion if she has still equipment. I married her because she looked so hot in her little Daedric dominatrix outfit and now its gone, sniff.
Also, I really, really hate it if I carefully and skillfully avoid all traps just to be killed by one my companion triggers by walking over a blatantly obvious pressure plate.
She does not care, she is a walking tank.
I do.
Semi-Spoiler
Ok, so last night I killed Alduin and I feel cheated.
I was level 27 at the time and had a set of epic steal plate armor and a legendary ebony ax.
I was saving up for a set of daedric armor and will have everything for it by tonight but whats the point.
Killed the hardest dragon priest and the head dragon. (hit him with one dragonrend and he never made it back up)
Guess I will just start a new character and put off the main quest as long as possible next time.
I am unfamiliar with these games though, is the main story line always that short?
I’m up to level 33 I think with my dark elf assassin-type character. Still have yet to meet a boss i can’t one hit with a sneak attack. Almost too easy lol.
30x sneak attack, 39 base dagger damage, dagger steals 10 health = 1,180 damage
Sneak is at 98 now, using boots that muffle sound, and I have all the sneak stuff maxed out.
Dragons are still pretty easy too. I’ve done the companions, dark brotherhood, and thieves guild storylines, just starting the mages college. Have like…6 daedric artifacts so far.
The horse you get from the dark brotherhood is a beast, though it’s annoying sometimes.
I fast travelled somewhere, it automatically takes the horse with me. Two Cave Bears attack my horse, I sit back, halfway hoping they’ll kill it…It kills them both. wtf. lol… Now i want to fast travel until i find a dragon and let them duke it out.
I’m not playing on a harder difficulty like some of you are though, i’m playing on whatever the default setting is.

Yeah, the last 3 at least (skyrim, oblivion, morrowind)… The main quest line in this one was actually pretty decent compared to the predecessors.
Well… Elder Scrolls games were never known as behemoths of storytelling, npc interaction or anything like that… They’re sandbox games and they’re always too easy once you figure out the right beat-all strategies.
Got to wait for the right mods and perhaps we’ll get some nice expansions from bethesda again.
Kind of a shame that it’s so easy to powergame your way through Skyrim. Beth could really have put in some stronger enemies/created some dealdlier areas in the game and such… Killing a dragon after 2 hits or whatever for the 30th time steals a good bit of the epic feeling.
“Oh, a dragon/giant/mammoth… How cute… Yawn…”
Given how easy it is to enchant everything for +main weapon damage or -spell cost, having that be actually necessary on occasion would be nice… More of a feeling of accomplishment too if you beat a stronger enemy.
Maybe make Dragons rarer (and dragon plate and scale better to compensate) and require something like a band of hired mages/archers/fighters to fight along with you to bring them down at all or something?
Would make for awesome dragon-hunting expeditions…
And if you encounter one by yourself, you’d just have to hide or wound it so it flies off…
Just an idea though… I think the construction set isn’t out yet?

Yes. At least in my opinion. I just finished the game at level 60, clock at 80 hours or so. If I had to guess, I’d say only 6-7 hours were spent on the main quest.
Try this: ramp up the difficulty and finish the different factions (Dark Brotherhood, tieves, companions, mages, Imperials/Stormcloaks). Find the dragon priests masks. Find the deadric artifacts. Earn the thane title in different holds. Start using a completely different skill tree.
More fun to be had!

Just realized that version is not in my SF soundtrack… Which version of SF is it from (or is it a cover) ?

I agree, I found it too easy and I didn’t even try and powergame it, just upgraded what I thought would be best. The game was super fun/challenging from about level 1-10 playing on Master difficulty. I was actually cautious while exploring a dungeon and 3 Draugrs were a total bitch. I had to kill one as fast as possible, raise it from the dead, shield bash the other two while my zombie whittled away at their HP and hope to land a power attack when they got low enough. I used an axe because fights actually took long enough that the bleed damage was useful. Now I can roll up to any dungeon and slaughter the place without breaking a sweat. I wish Bethesda realized some people don’t mind dying and reloading a few times before they get their strategy down.
I think the main problem is some of the perks are way too powerful. It would be cool if on Master difficulty you only got 1/3 or 1/4 of the bonuses from the % perks. Also smithing is stupidly over powered. They should have made it so a level 100 smith could “sharpen” a weapon to the point where it would be equal to a level 100 enchantment (like +20 dmg or so). As it is you can literally double the damage of weapons, then you get 100% bonus from perks and even more from your items. I have steel gloves that give +20%. I had a necklace too but I took it off because it was just dumb killing dragons in 2 hits.
Fuck all of you. I haven’t had time to play. Been busy working.
