Regional banks may do very well over the next few years, selective regional banks. The trick is serperating the wheat from the chaff.
On the other hand now is not the time to be buying companies that use large amounts of AG Commodities, their earnings over the next 6 months will get hammered.

There were supposed to be a few countries collapse by now I thought. Is the sky gonna eventually fall or are we slowly making our way back? [/quote]
What do you mean still waiting…it’s going on right in front of you - about %10 in 2 months - you’re just looking at the wrong asset class.

Not sure how I feel about the plan for quantitative easing. Seems like throwing matches at gasoline.
I don’t know if the sky is falling either, or if my shares are just rushing up to meet it. Up $2.35/share and climbing since yesterdays open on one and the other is heading upward nicely too. Everything on my watch list is on a tear which makes me sad that I don’t have all of them.
QE aside, the political and business climate has changed for the better, and that is going to make a big difference.
We’re at 11,552 as of now. So, is this just being held up on fictitious numbers or is it gonna come crashing down?
Should I expect the Dow to continue to rise very slowly while my dollar is worth less and less?
Also, which nation is gonna collapse first? I’ve been reading dooms day posts, but haven’t seen anything happen.
I know I’m annoying, but I read so many contradicting things I don’t know who’s telling the truth. What markets/graphs should I be paying attention to?

You shouldn’t listen to anyone on these boards. I would find an analyst who has a good track record. I like David Rosenberg. You can subsribe to his daily news letter for free. You just have to create an account at his brokerage firm. I have not received any unsolicited mail from them, so it should be safe.
From what I can tell we technically should be in a deflationary period, but due to the fed playing with the system in an attempt to create some minor inflation it is being falsly propped up.
so it is really an unusual market so the naysayers are kind of right, but the fed has managed to play a shell game.
