a hollywood movie director “interviewing” 20-30 year old actresses is nothing new goofball. Do you live in box or something?

They are big name actresses though which implies a female lead or female viilain goofball.
no better yet, since arnold wont be governator much longer they should bring him out of retirement!!! Maybe as mister freeze, i cant think of anyone else that fits at this point.

Except for that fucking smirk that makes her look like she had a stroke.
Milla Jovovic as Poison Ivy.
Hot and looks nuts.
“Megaman” Nathan Jones as Bane.
He’s like 7 ft tall. Not sure how in shape he is these days. Was also in the movie Troy, where Achilles killed him in the beginning of the film.
6 ft 11 @ 360 lbs at his peak.
Well, bearing in mind that TDK ended with Batman assuming blame for Two-Face’s crimes for the sake of Gotham, and becoming ‘the villain’ in the process, I’m not sure that we need to beat ourselves up over who is going to be next in line for an Arkham-administered chemical cosh.
If Heath Ledger had lived to play The Joker in a third movie, I think the original plan was to have had Batman defeat him by falling as low as he could possibly fall. The Joker thrives on corrupting the incorruptible (like destroying the “White Knight” of Gotham, for example). By taking accountabilty for Dent’s crimes, Batman may well have become a criminal in the eyes of the public, but he saved Dent’s image, and so saved Gotham by giving them hope and made himself immune to the Joker’s corrupting influence without compromizing his morals.
I vote that they bring Harvey Dent back. Everybody thinks that Dent is dead (besides Gordon and Wayne that is), and the gen-pop holds Batman responsible for his crimes.
Two-Face was never really let loose in Gotham. He was a dirty little secret that Batman risked his rep to safeguard (for good reason). His character was just as well-written as The Joker’s in many ways: Batman represents “justice” (see how many times the word comes up in Batman Begins); Joker represents total anarchy, and Two Face/ Dent is stuck somewhere in between.
The best characters arise out of conflict…and Two-Face is one of the most conflicted characters around.
I like Hugo Strange more.

I’ve seen . . . little of his dramatic skill. As such, I’d be very worried about carrying out the complete Bane character. A guy born into a South American prison, who killed his first man at 7, and who was nearly Batman’s intellectual equal, through self-education alone.

I think that if they make a reference to or cast Mr.Freeze, they should invite Arnie to make a cameo, I read somewhere that Nolan was a fan of the governor.
Fuck it, they should call him to appear in the new Conan.
CN has stated that his interpretation of Batman will have a definite resolution, so Bats will either succeed in cleaning up Gotham or he’ll die trying:
Without getting into specifics, the key thing that makes the third film a great possibility for us is that we want to finish our story, he said. And in viewing it as the finishing of a story rather than infinitely blowing up the balloon and expanding the story…
I’m very excited about the end of the film, the conclusion, and what we’ve done with the characters, Nolan said. My brother has come up with some pretty exciting stuff. Unlike the comics, these things don’t go on forever in film and viewing it as a story with an end is useful. Viewing it as an ending, that sets you very much on the right track about the appropriate conclusion and the essence of what tale we’re telling. And it harkens back to that priority of trying to find the reality in these fantastic stories. That’s what we do.
Either way, the trilogy is going to be self-contained, and whatever fate has in store is for Batman/Bruce Wayne, it will be hard for another director to take the reigns of the franchise and expand on Nolan’s vision.
I think all this talk of Strange being the lead villain is just a smoke screen. He’s way to similar to the Scarecrow to be the focal point of another Batman movie.

I’m inclined to agree with you. I’m not going to second-guess Christopher Nolan and say that Hugo Strange won’t be in the movie, but I doubt he’ll be a major player.
At this point, Batman is fucked, with the city whole city believing he is the very thing that he is trying to protect them from. He is at rock-bottom. The worst thing that could happen to him (and the city) now is if the fate of Dent is made public.
I mentioned in another thread that if Dent was revealed to be Two-face, then all the criminals he’d convicted would be released.
That was the Joker’s long-term plan. The idea that Dent was “the best of them” is made pretty clear in TDK and he still fell from grace.
That seems to be where the story is going. And the story is what matters, after all. TDK could’ve been made as a crime thriller with ‘normal’ cops and crims, and it would still have been a great movie.
I’ve nothing against Hugo Strange but, as you say, he doesn’t offer anything that the Scarecrow hasn’t already brought to the franchise - other than knowing Batman is Bruce Wayne (several of the rogue’s gallery have discovered his identity) and having a fetish for wearing a Bat suit (given Batman’s current status as public enemy no.1, any self-respecting criminal mastermind would avoid dressing up as him for obvious reasons, so that sub-plot is out of the window - unless The Dark Knight Rises is a short movie).
LETS GET THE RUMOUR MILL GOING AGAIN!

Anne Hathaway as Catwoman and Tom Hardy as Bane, thoughts?
Damn, I was kinda hoping Nolan didn’t use Catwoman. Hers and Wayne’s relationship is way too complicated for it to be part of the overall plot in one movie. Plus, is Anne Hathaway really sexy enough to play her? I think Stephanie Seymour, if she was an actress, would have been a good choice.
I do like the idea of Hardy as Bane though. Hardy’s definitely a good enough actor to bring some genuine intellect to the role. After all, Bane was bigger and stronger than Batman, but he also used his formidable intellect to devise the plan left Batman drained and vulnerable by the time he faced Bane. It takes a lot of intellect to understand that, even as big as Bane is/was, he’s much better off taking on Batman when he’s been chopped down a few notches. The only thing I’m a little skeptical about is Hardy’s size. I don’t think he’s that tall at all, and Bane was a real hulk. I’m sure he’ll be able to gain the requisite muscle mass though, and I can’t wait for the “Is Hardy Big Enough to Be Bane?” thread on here.
Eh, agree with DBCooper here, dont think Catwoman is going to be a good addition for the movie. Like he said, too complicated to fit into one movie
While I’m sure it’s only wishful thinking, I’d like to see Catwoman take a backseat to Bane. I’m quite certain Hardy will steal the show even if his screentime is much less than everyone else. As far as what size he’ll be coming in at, he really only needs to be bigger than Bale, even though it would take away from the comic book depiction of Bane. Perhaps they could compensate by showing Bane’s sheer amount of strength during his time on film?

To be fair, the Joker was a pretty complicated role that they managed to get all into one movie. I was extremely surprised at how well they developed that character in the last film. They also really developed Dent/Two Face in that movie.
I’m sure the movie will be longer than your standard 1:45 minute movie (like TDK was) where they can get more character development in.
I was very impressed with both of the Nolan Batman films so far… so I’m sure they can do this one right. Nolan wouldn’t screw around on his last film of the series.
EDIT: Plus Anne Hathaway is smokin hot. She’s one of my celeb crushes for sure ![]()
Have faith in Nolan, not let us down yet, and at least pig face is not going to be in this one.
