It’s called Dark Knight Rises for a reason. Batman will get badly beaten and then “rise up.” I’m telling you - everyone is going to get goosebumps when he gets “back up” and kicks ass. Can’t wait!

Jonathan Nolan and David S. Goyer said something in a magazine article that I won’t reveal right now. There’s less than a week to go, and it may be a mega spoiler after all the rumors…

Ha! Sorry, I’m damned if I do and I’m damned if I don’t. What they said was from a writer’s POV and it seemed to have slipped under the radar. I’ll post it here in due time and try to dig out the exact quotes.
Damn you guys are trying to spoil the movie already. I’m not coming back to this thread until after Friday next week.

? I haven’t spoiled anything. That’s why I said I won’t post what I read until after the movie comes out. It might not even be true anyway - it was an idea they discussed during the writing of the script which may be a spoiler for the movie…

from listening to the soundtrack and reading the title tracks I’ve pieced together what I would kinda expect to see
- Alfred dies, the trailers show him training after being imprisoned and that is the only thing I could imagine would enrage him enough for motivation
- Batman kills bane, theres a track called necessary evil just shooting in the dark
PLUS - If he does kill Bane i would really like to see batman getting arrested and everyone finding out its bruce wayne and the whole city applaud him whilst he is driven off to jail, would much prefere that to the over the top death that most of us are expecting[/quote]
1)What is this Rocky?

quite possibly, a lot of looks like it could be similar to rocky 3.
a guy tries to fight someone way out his league, gets his ass kicked, a mentor dies (could be gordon as he’s obviously been poisoned or something) and the good guy comes back (RISES) to kick some ass
roybot can you share what magazine it was so I can hunt the spoiler info myself please?

Lasts month’s edition of Empire with the Catwoman/ Bane covers. I was mistaken about the quote: it was Bale, not Jonathan Nolan or David Goyer, who said it (page 109).
The issue is worth buying anyway: there’s a great retrospective on the Nolan movies. That’s where I got the info about the Catwoman spoiler and Warner’s attempts to persuade Nolan to cast Leonardo Dicaprio as Riddler after the success of Inception.
how odd. I have last months empire addition but it was catwoman or batman and nothing seemed too spoilerish, I shall read again thanks!

It wasn’t a full-on spoiler. It was Bale’s response to a question. It doesn’t necessarily have anything to do with the plot of the movie. I can’t actually say what the question was (yet) and you have the page number so you should be able to figure it out.

ah yes I remember reading that point now. and some people probably would be butthurt if we talk about it too much
They should make different versions to the movie then. 1 where Bruce Wayne dies, the other where he doesn’t. It would be a schrodinger’s Bat experiment. Before u walk into the theater, Bruce Wayne is neither/either dead or alive.

Ha! That’s a crazy idea.
I almost spoiled the movie at the supermarket earlier today when I read some of the kid’s coloring book for the movie.
Reviews are slowly trickling in at Rotten Tomatoes and it’s getting ridiculous amazing reviews.

Looks like it’s exceeding expectations.
