People say he’s a genius because of his work, not his disability. He’s not the greatest physicist of all time, or even the greatest living physicist, but what you’re saying is ridiculous.
I’m still hoping for Croc. At first I thought it would be a lock, since they’re filming in New Orleans (swamp = croc), but my buddy told me a lot of people film there due to it being cheaper.
Watch, Nolan will go in a complete opposite direction and bring in Bat Mite.

I’m sure if he wasn’t disabled, no one would give a shit about him.

Is it safe for me to assume you don’t know anything about theoretical physics?
This is a thread about batman go have your physics argument elsewhere.
What has he done that has made a breakthrough in technology or proving the origins of natural phenomena?
Don’t get me wrong, he’s obviously very intelligent, but people hang off his every word and respect him more because he’s disabled.
BATMAN
lol, oh yeah!
Bane would be a good villain, The riddler would be boring. If they made mr. freeze into more of a rogue than a cartoon, he would be a good villain. Poison ivy would be boring and expected. I don’t know how catwoman would be portrayed as “realistic” just because of those little ears on her costume.
In both movies thus far we’ve had events unfold that threaten the existence of Gotham city in a big way. As such, the main villain needs to be someone who can accomplish this, as well as being a compelling character.
The riddler sounded good, but I think Nolan thought his character would be too close in nature to the Joker.
Ivy can be interesting, but is tough to do in his universe.
Killer Croc and Bane are just completely, fucking, impossible… unless they reinvented Croc as some kind of cannibal. Either way, they don’t have backup, and wouldn’t fit the first criteria.
Catwoman could be a side character, but I’m not sure what they’d do with her. Perhaps steal something important for the main villain?
Mr. Freeze is too out there. Scarecrow drugs you, Freeze turns you into a Popsicle.
I think Hush would be a pretty good fit. A deranged murderer and sociopath trying to get back at Bruce Wayne for fucking up his life… by fucking up his. Still not sure what kind of plot he’ll bring with him.
Talia I’d be sold on if she wasn’t Ras’ daughter and would bring a similar plot save for fucking Wayne a couple of times.
Bane would be awesome. Catwoman would be plausible, but I’d be lying if I said I wouldn’t prefer anyone else…
I hope they don’t recast the Joker. Even if they have a better performance, I hate when they recast characters. Plus, I think a lot of people would be angry to see someone else try to play Ledger’s Joker.
Croc would be the best. He would be a fucking muscly ex-wrestler or something, with Ichthyosis, or whatever its called. Oh and a cannibal too. Would be fucking freaky if they would do it right. TOo bad everyone just thinks he is lame and silly.

I actually don’t think that is the reason. I think having a real Riddler would make him more like the guy in the Saw movies…and let’s face it, saw sort of cornered the market on torturing people after putting them through “riddling” situations. Joker loves chaos. Riddler is someone who can’t help trying to make himself seem smarter than everyone else…especially the guy who is supposed to be the “world’s greatest detective”.
That is actually what I would like them to expand upon.
Batman is supposed to be this generation’s Sherlock Holmes (even though I liked Robert Downy Jr.s portrayal alot). They haven’t gone much into that at all in the previous movies.
The Riddler would definitely allow him to do that…and I doubt Nolan will release any details for at least another year…unless something leaks.
And for the record, I hate it when fans STEAL movie info before a movie comes out.

I was thinking the same thing. So far all he’s done is be rich and have some good gadgetry, but hasn’t been like, ‘hey let’s figure some shit out’.

Yeah, that would be called “bullshit”. Hollywood may have stopped using more muscular actors in action movies, but to say that a huge physique in a movie is not intimidating is bullshit.
