there’s nothing wrong with this. Most artists would be happy if they can make you see things that weren’t part of his conscious intention. For me, It’s just fun to interpret. It doesn’t matter if you see the strokes that artists didn’t intent to make.
That’s the beauty of looking at art and watching good films and etc. The viewer gets to participate in the work and through this process he is also creating it. The artist contributes only partially to the work. The rest is up to the viewer to complete.
How much of it belongs to the artist and how much of it belongs to the viewer always depends…and sometimes you do get a viewer who makes more out of a work than the artist himself. Sometimes it’s the other way around’ and artist tries to deliver a message across that the viewer simply didn’t get.

In the words of Richard Burton, I’m merely walking what’s left of my wits about. You should try it sometime. You’re more than welcome to participate. You’ve never struck me as someone short on intellect. Besides, I like Mr. Yang’s work and I want to continue to engage him.
I like how his mind works, even if some of his artwork on YouTube does seem to be a bit self-serving, and also bizarre for bizarrity’s sake. But it’s abnormal nonetheless, and abnormality is going to be IN this coming year. I just want to be at the forefront of cutting edge trends.
criticisms and compliments taken. I am completely aware of the self-serving, ego-feeding aspects of my work. and there is no shame in admitting that I like the attention that I receive in some of my more abnormal stuff ( i mean, who doesn’t like to be notice? It would be BS if you say you don’t care about what other people think of you.
Different people go about this differently. I do it by masturbating on my roof and deadlift naked) Anyway, positive or negative, my goal is always the same : to cause a shift in one’s “normal” mode of consciousness. Even if I did that for just a second out of your life, I feel accomplished.
I think Bane will be amazing in this film. There are the issues of hearing his lines due to the mask. My concern is Anne Hathaway. I don’t think she is Catwoman material at all.

Preachin’ to the choir pal. I’m all about self-gratification and ego fulfillment.

I read the article from Cracked, re: death o’ Wayne. I disagree, and in fact make two assertions:
With this movie, we’re clearly departing from “super-real, it could totally happen now” territory with the multi-form Batmobile (it flies, it gets tall, it’s gonna wreck all dat ass). Which means certain “limitations” set in Begins are not actually real. (From the article, talking about the first part of an illusion - the pledge; in this case, of fidelity to reality)
Lazarus Pit, is what I’m saying.
It will be either Wayne or a Jean-Paul Valley stand-in who puts down Bane. It’s not going to be “New York vs Green Goblin” garbage, it’s going to be the elevation of the Legend to a God.
Also, I don’t think Alfred comes out of this alive.
no

Gotta be honest, so far I’m not diggin’ the trailers. Maybe I’m just subconsciously stacking it up to The Dark Knight, and there’s NO WAY it holds up.
Agreed.
Bane just does not intimidate. He could walk down a NYC street without raising an eyebrow

Except for, you know, the big metal codpiece on his mouth.

I think he’s not intimidating because in almost all the shots so far he’s alone or it’s a face to face close up and you definitely need his physical presence to add to the intimidation.
while bane isnt really that big in the trailers, theres still the possibility of that being pre-venom, and it seems like nolan might have been more concerned with the intelligence of bane which was totally molested in the previous bat-films. His genius methodical approach to destroying batman is what makes him batman’s equal and possibly superior
ive also heard some ideas out there that nolan admitted there might be a small amount of cgi in the end, possibly to add mass to bane, maybe with the aid of scarecrows fear toxin on batman’s mind

I would bet that this is it. Nolan has been going with a more “realistic” approach to this, so the 500 lb muscular monster we all remember from the comic books just doesn’t fit in with his story. I still think he should still be more muscular, but as long as they keep his personality and intelligence consistent I will be happy.

You may be right. You and H4M are also right that this is pre-bulk. But in the previews all we see is the mask face bad guy. I can feel intense about batman because I get to see the man behind the mask. It’s hard to do this with Bane in the previews because all we get is the tense guy with a respirator. This may be Nolans plan. I mean he knows We trust his process from the first 2 movies so he does not need to WOW us with his trailers.
