The Dark Knight Rises

Nolan won’t fuck this up. I just know. Any suspicions of an emaciated Bane or completely out-of-place Catwoman will be completely alleviated on opening day when you see how balls-tastically awesome the film is…

I’m confused how are they going to cgi hardy if he’s sleeveless? I thought you needed some type of screen to cgi off of?[/quote]

Uh, yeah, maybe 10 years ago.

Captain America is the latest sign that CGI has come a long way. They didn’t put his head on another person’s body. They reduced his own body,…and did a damn good job.

Nice. I absolutely loved The Dark Knight…easily one of the best (if not the best) movies I’ve ever seen. It’s so cool how it’s being filmed not too far away from here. :stuck_out_tongue:

I sorta have a hard time remembering…what exactly happened to the Joker? I realize Health Ledger being out of the picture and all, but I’m guessing that he just escaped?

I always assumed he got taken to Arkham.

Amen, that looked incredible.

New on-set snapshot. Looks like Bale did bulk up after all.

Baretta, really digging your avi. Adios.

Catwoman has ears. Geeks rejoice!

New pictures of Batman and Bane:

His pecs and front delts are out of control

With new and improved transformer cat ears. Not necessarily a bad thing, especially after the Catwoman solo movie.

They’ve tried sexy; let us see sectioned.

How the Rock was not cast as Bane is still beyond me.

I think a higher acting ability was top of the agenda.

The Rock in a Nolan film? Never. Although I do like the premise.

Nolan typically re-casts actors he’s worked with before. And considering TDKR is a major film he probably didn’t want to take any risks casting wise. Choosing Hardy s Bane was a safe bet from a purely actor-ability stand-point. Nolan would also have been more familiar with Hardy and vice versa.

That probably gives you an insight to where Nolan is going with Bane. Instead of typifying Bane as the muscular brute he is visualised as in the comics and animations Nolan will likely focus deeply on the characterisation and mental/psychological/intellectual angle of the character.

I’m sure this has been discussed by people like roybot way back in the history of this thread.

Here’s the prologue that’s being shown in select IMAX theatres. It’s not the best quality, and you may want to search out the transcript afterwards to get a better understanding of what was said. But it’s exciting nonetheless!

They’ll probably release it officially online within the next month, like they did with TDK.

The trailer is rumored to play before Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows.

It did, I found a low quality version of it after I made this post. It’s way shakier than the prologue piece so I really can’t get excited about it until I see it in HD
