The Dark Knight Rises

Bane would be an AWESOME supervillain for the next movie!

The problem with Bane is that it would take like 4 movies to get it right.

I’m hoping for Waylon Jones with a severe case of Atavism.

New villain?

I jumped for joy when it stated Nolan convinced the studio to not make it a 3D movie. 3D sucks cock and balls.

Why is it “The Dark Knight Rises”? Wouldn’t he already be considered as “risen”?
He had to lay low after getting blamed for the death of Harvey Dent. He was a “vigilante” but not a “murderer” until then.
Another possible idea I have seen mentioned: Dark Knight was also another name for Two-Face (Dent was white knight, opposite would be dark). Maybe Two-Face isn’t actually dead.

Nolan said Dent was dead. Not Two-Face. The idea that that part of him is now gone and only the other part remains…?

The “dark knight was aslo another name fore two-face” idea was posed in the second link that was posted. I recall them saying that Nolan said that The Dark Knight was referring to Dent just as much as Wayne?

I could definitely see them bringing back two face and another villain (theres been two villains in each movie so far) Bring dent back and also introduce another character (possibly Catwoman? They are trying to cast a lead female role for the movie)

this is too long to wait… I’m excited but it’s about two years away… booo.

Doubtfully. I was expecting TwoFace to make a return(there’s a camera shot at the end of TDK where Dent’s body should have been there but wasn’t) but here’s a quote from one of the links already posted.

Anyways, this was an interesting read:

Tom Hardy being hired for an undisclosed male lead role? According to IMDB it’s rumoured to be Det. Harvey Bullock.
More romours about Nolan interviewing 20-30 year old actrsses. I would be more interested to see Harley Quinn make an appearance than any other character. Preferably based on the one in the Arkham Asylum videogame. I also think it would be easy to fit her in seeing as how heavy the Joker’s influence was in Gotham.

weird bullock is usually a fatso

Maggie gyllenhaals not in it, I don’t see it. That woman has the nostrils of goddess.

More like miss piggy

I don’t understand how Jake Gyllenhaal got some attractive genes and his sis looks… I can’t put this kindly so I’ll stop there.

wrap up his trilogy?! does that mean he’s done?! I think somebody needs to step in and make chris nolan and christian bale do absolutely nothing but make batman movies for the rest of their lives.

In terms of villains, I think catwoman is very probably, especially since that line in the second movie, after he gets bit by dogs, he asked Fox if the new armor would protect against dogs, and Fox said “should do pretty good against cats”. I found that to be a subtle nod toward catwoman. may have just been an easter egg thing, or maybe he was dropping hints.

Or maybe, he’s just auditioning 20-30 year old women to replace that god awful maggie gyllenhal. that bitch rivals halle berry and denise richards for the “worst actress of all time” award. She almost ruined TDK for me, and that is a damn hard movie to ruin.

How can you not think Maggie’s hot?

?

Without fail almost every single Batman Character is clinicly insane. Catwoman depending on the story is either insane or just a Kind hearted thief. I’m hoping they come up with something out of reach on this one. Its going to be damn hard to top the insanity of the Joker so they may as well go with brute force BANE

i have to say throughout the dark knight film i kept thinking “man maggie gyllenhaal looks like wayne’s mom not his love interest…” it started freaking me out a bit…

katie holmes > maggie gyllenhaal

Yeah. Why did they even switch from Katie Holmes in the first place?

Batman hates Scientology.
