Just wanted to share my off-season bulk, Will be pumping out a few different Vlogs about my nutrition, supplements, training etc.
Also what i think about the whole “bulking” or off-season process.
If you guys have any techniques that you swear by through a good bulk share them on here also if you have any questions leave them here as well and i will get to answering them.
Your approach seems very sensible and similar to mine. The offseason is not the time to go “wild” and eat everything. IMO, the offseason is the time to slowly increase what you’re eaitng, getting your body more efficient at taking in increased calories, adding muscle in the process through the increased calories, and getting your body eating as much food as possible while still maintaining some leanness so when contest prep does come, you don’t have to get as restrictive as you might have otherwise.
If you slowly increase your calories throughout the offseason, you can really do wonders for your metabolism and body when it comes time to diet down again. Also, slowly increasing, rather than just going straight to eating a ton, will allow you to really mitigate fat gain while still providing your body the nutrients necessary to grow. I think it’s very important for people to remember that your body will not magically add more muscle simply because you’re eating more. Being calculated in your approach to adding nutrients will allow you to control that process as much as possible while still reaping the benefits of eating more and gaining muscle.

EXACTLY! nailed it bro, totally agree.
I will be going through that type of stuff in my nutrition Vlog.
I also take the same approach in my cut… slowly reduce the cals and monitor how the body reacts.

Awesome stuff man! Looking forward to seeing future vlogs.
Heres some info on how i cook and prep my meals, preperation is really the key to success when dieting! Get on top of it all and your week will be wayyy less stressful (with eating, cant comment on the other stuff haha)
My full diet is in …the description box!
Will be doing heaps more logs so if you have any questions fire them up on my Facebook and i will get a video explanation out
Anyone got any interesting ways they have broken through a plateau? interested to see if people just stick to the normal training, nutrition etc or if they experiment with different stuff.
A back shot from the other day’s shoulder workout, working on getting more thickness through the lats. Seen some improvements but still a long way to go!
This video is the most recent update of my off season condition!
Currently sitting at 83kg and 9.6% BF im slowly putting on that lean mass, really finding that staying in the single BF % range is helping as insulin sensitivity is good and everything seems to be growing a little faster than last time I did a bulk with a higher BF %.
I am also now on Lucine during a workout, I have done a lot of research and also confirmed by my nutritionist that 11-12g of lucine in that “peri” workout zone is optimal for lean mass gains. I have been seeing really good results over the past 4-5 weeks but will keep you updated on how it goes.
Also taking Glutamine in a morning and post workout for extra recovery, in my eyes its working a treat! I feel a lot fuller and muscle recovery also seems to be enhanced
